Awww! Thank U Ladies! I have only been looking for dresses and color scheming but haven’t done 2 much more. Your tips are really helpfully, the resorts reviews and webinars are so good  …… I only have to choose among them.  I´ve also run into Victor Herrera Photography’s contest. It  is a really a good opportunity for lucky couples! I wish they repeat it for 2015 Brides! :(

Thanks 4 ur input! Greatly appreciated and thank u BDW! I love it already!

Congrats everyone! Not too early at all. I am also May 2015 and we started in Nov. end of 2013. We already got book the resort. We started early in order to give our guests as much notice as possible. We wanted them to be able to save and plan over time and not rush around. As far as the dress and other details, I am going to wait a few months.

Where all the 2015 brides getting married? Any Riu Montego Bay?!

Hi Everyone!  Congrats to you all!  I wast thinking the same thing!  My fiancee and are want our wedding to be at the end of 2015 (we're thinking October or November).  Some of our friends and family made me feel like I was just over thinking it.  I feel that the earlier the better especially because we have two specific dates in mind.  We're hoping to actually book things before the end of this year.  So far we've just:  picked an ideal venue, picked a tentative date, tried on dresses, and started thinking about our engagement party.  We're both students and are graduating this year so we wanted to wait and save money before we secured a date. We're planning to get married in Cuba at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria.

@@diadiamond I'd recommend booking your date with the resort early if you know what your planned travel dates will be already. Most resorts in Cuba don't require a down payment to hold your spot, so it might be worth doing. Sometimes they won't book before a certain time frame, but I would email them and let them know!

@@diadiamond - CONGRATS!  I agree with @@csho.  At the very least, you can check availability, and to lock in rates put down a small deposit to secure the date. I think most resorts charge $200 USD to lock the date down.  Good luck & Happy Planning.

Thanks Ladies!  I e-mailed the wedding coordinator, and I'm waiting for her response.  I'm not sure what the travel dates are yet as no websites have anything for 2015  =(  I talked it over with my fiancee and we have agreed that we would be willing to put down a deposit to reserve our date. Happy planning to you ladies too.

Awesome! Luckily I don't think you'll have to, but I'll be interested to hear what they say! You definitely will need to consult a travel agent if you want to get prices early for flights and packages. I used an awesome travel agent, her name is Kelly Neonakis-Morash, and she specializes in destinations weddings and has been AMAZING! She was even married in Cuba herself. She books for brides all over Canada. I'd highly recommend her if you are looking for a TA! Let me know if you want her email address :)

Oh wow!  She sounds awesome.  Most of my guests are coming from Toronto I have one who may be coming from Montreal.  I heard that 2015 prices will become available in January 2015.  I thought about doing it through flight center or something like that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
