Hi everyone at BDW!!

I love forums and I can see this one will be keeping me up til all hours. My fiance and I knew we wouldn't be having a traditional type of wedding and a destination wedding just seemed perfect, plus all our friends really wanted us to do it too! We are looking into Costa Rica, at the all inclusive RIU hotels and the Hilton. I do have a lot of questions and I hope I'll have them answered by looking through this forum. I'm super excited for all the DIY projects looking at the wonderful ideas on here!!

A quick question... for the brides who have walked down the aisle already, did you go see the resort/venue first before you signed a contract with them?? I'm really struggling with that, on the one hand I feel like I'll be ok not seeing it, but on the other hand I want to get a good feel for the resort, quality of food/service. I imagine my guests will be staying longer than just the weekend and I really want to make sure everyone has a good time,I'm estimating about 75 guests. I've already gotten quotes back for some locations but at earliest I won't be able to go for another month... please help!!

Many thanks! cat.gif

Just wanted to say :welcome: I'm not much help with your location or your question . . . Sorry I am getting married in St. Lucia at Sandals... I have never been to either... I'm fine with that.. I figured they have done a million weddings so I'll be ok. Have you been able to figure out if you will get to do a sight visit.. (I see this post was a few weeks ago) Anyways Hello :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
