Hi ladies, I just wanted to give you a quick update, the Canon Pixma MG2220 I purchased did great for my passport invites. I used metallic cardstock and regular metallic paper from paperandmore. I did end up having to purchase a second color cartridge but well worth it. I printed about 80 invitations, 1 cover and 2 sheets, so an 8 pg booklet just to give you an idea of the amount of work. Good luck to anyone still looking for a printer!

Me too. I'm pretty sure I'll have to get a second set of ink cartridges but I'll keep you posted =)

Hey ladies, if you're still in the market for a printer, I just purchased this one from Walmart. It's $30 and you can choose a 8gb usb drive or pack of paper. I opted for the paper. Just know that the printer does not come with a cable to connect to your computer, but that's normal for most printers. If you spend $45 it's free shipping to home! I don't have a Walmart conveniently located around me, would have to drive there so that's a great option. Just added a few other home items that I needed anyway =) Many brides on the forum recommend the Canon pixma higher end models I think the mx892? Unfortunately I need to find them all again! So far I downloaded the how to make a logo powerpoint. I haven't had as much time as I would like for wedding planning. =( If you ladies find any do let me know as well!

I don't think you're wrong to be irritated. Guests wouldn't invite random friends to a regular wedding so they shouldn't think it's ok for a DW either. However, I could see how it might get tricky if your guest doesn't know anyone else at the wedding. Is that person inviting the girls just for company? Maybe the girls will just be hanging out at the resort and not actually attending the wedding? The thought has crossed my mind but I'm not sure how the hotel bookings work if that was the case. I only thought of it because someone had asked me if they could bring a plus one to split the room cost. I told my guests that I'm more than happy to help pair them with someone if they're flying solo however I can totally understand if they wouldn't want to room with someone they don't know. For the most part it's been fine, however I have a handful of guests that may not know many others and in those cases I am allowing them a +1. I think you should have a conversation with your guest and find out what's going on. Definitely would have been better if s/he at least gave you a heads up. Hope it works out!
