Judge had to...sh move time of wedding...should I be concerned?

Recommended Posts

My date is June 6th at the Azul and the time was confirmed for 4:00. Today I received an email from the wc saying the judge had to back it up an hour to 3:00. I know in the scheme of things it is only an hour, but should I be concerned that this could change again...but at the last minute?

I am sure it will be fine and you still have about 8 months before so don't worry, things are bound to change, maybe just tell your WC that you would like her to let you know as soon as things are changed so you can include it in your plans.

I had the same problem. I had booked for 4 Pm and I was switched to 1pm! AND, the WON'T verify it until I am IN Mexico... so it could change again for all I know!

I know in the DR (where we are getting married) there is only 1 judge and that they are usually late. Not sure how things work in Azul -- but I know for legal weddings in the DR, the WC asks that you be relatively flexible, as they will adjust times accordingly based on the judge's arrival.

A lot of times it's out of your control, so just be prepared and go with the flow.

I wouldn't worry at all. My ceremony time was changed from 5pm to 6pm on the day of our wedding. (We moved the time though)Our wedding coordinator (Maye Cortinas) just called our vendors and told them. No problems....we just had to mention it to our guests. Also this was 3 days before the wedding.

I wouldn't worry.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
