I doubt many of them will actually come (at least I'm hoping) because they are much older on my dad's side and on my mom's side I only have one I am super close with. But with my luck, they will all say yes haha

That's how my FI and I feel. There's people we are counting on RSVPing NO, lol.

haha yeah. It will be interesting to see if they respond. I am adding a little thing on our save the dates that says " If you have any questions or if you already know if you will be joining us in the sun, or sending your best wishes from home, don't hesitate to let us know" in hopes that we may get a better idea even before we send out the actual invite.

Hummm I hadn't thought about it that way.  I set up a program online that if people "hashtagged" on instagram then their pictures automatically uploaded to my email and I was super excited about it, but I get the point of ruining your professional photos.  We are in Mexico, but I am guessing a lot of people will be able to use the hotel wireless to upload photos.  I guess I'm going to have to think about this.

I figure I can ask y'all.  Any opinions on a Welcome Bonfire timing?  I am leaving toward having it later on the Friday before the wedding (like 7:30 or 8) b/c if I have it at 5 like I have originally scheduled then there is that awkward ending time when my FI and I are like well we are headed to dinner and people may want to join and I'm not sure the resort can accommodate, blah blah.  Then if we have it later then everyone can come after dinner and just have cocktails and maybe something sweet!  Thoughts?

A welcome bonfire is a great idea. I want to do a thank you bonfire for my guests. It is such a great touch while being on vacation. 7:30 is a great time to do the bonfire. Its right after dinner and a good time for socializing.

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. A welcome bonfire at like 7/8ish. I wanted to give out cards to the front desk to give to people as they check in that say "join us after dinner for a celebration on the beach". This would be Thursday night as the wedding is Friday ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
