Kate, you look beautiful and I love your hair!  Your photographer did a great job!  I love the pictures of you and your husband strolling on the beach.  Congrats!!

Kate, you look stunning!  What a beautiful wedding!

Fatima was our wedding coordinator.  I enjoyed working with her and found her to be extremely attentive.  But it was a surprise to have Eleane there during our actual wedding.  It was fine, just a surprise.

We ended up buying all of our photos from Adventure Photography.  It was $800 for about 500 photos (we had a lot more photos than that, but we went through and deleted duplicates and unflattering photos).  This also included an upgraded photo book with 100 photos.

Thank you!! Haha I guess Fatima and Eleane switch places often...

Thanks so much! Our photographer was awesome, definitely worth the extra money to fly him down!

Hi everyone!! Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a DJ. I have found one that I am considering (DJ Chris Love) however I was hoping to get feedback before we book. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ladies! I know I'm way behind on posting a review--we've had 1 AHR already and have another one in 2 weeks (one in the town where we currently live and one in our hometown).  It's been wonderful but a little much--we've been married for a month now, and we are still planning!

@Tbasgall, we did an iPod reception.  I know that's not for everyone, and it is nice to have a DJ so you don't have to worry about a thing.  Our guests loved the iPod.  I asked everyone to send me song requests prior to the wedding, and we loaded the iPod up with all the requests plus songs we really like.  Our guests had a great time selecting songs themselves throughout the night (although I think we ended up dancing to Thrift Shop about 5 times).

Oh!  And here is our slideshow from Adventure Photo, if anyone is interested.  I've said it earlier, but I was very happy working with our photographer, Lili.  I do think they have a handful of poses that they use for each couple they photograph, but she also came up with several original poses for us.

And to top it off, our wedding day was the hottest day that we were in PV, and there was zero wind.  I stopped the photos when sweat started dripping down my face, and we didn't get as many wedding party and family photos as we really wanted (and ended up doing the few we have inside, which didn't provide the most beautiful backdrop).  Long story short, if you see anything in those photos you don't like, it was my choosing, not Adventure Photography's.  Lili would have happily dealt with the heat and taken lots of shots for us.

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
