Rehersal Dinner - Playa Del Carmen

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a rehearsal dinner in Playa Del Carmen? I'll probably have about 25 people. Something where we could have a private space, good food and maybe a really trendy or romantic ambiance would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

hi!

Why not Coral beach club?   See on my page a Slideshow about Grand Coral Beach Club  The beach club is 5 minutes away from Playa del Carmen  with an amazing  front beach pool! . The dinner can take place outside and even on the beach if you like!

Hi Amberya,

If you haven't already picked a place, I just wanted to throw out one more: Luna Maya Restaurant in Playa del Carmen (http://www.lunamayarestaurante.com).

We got married at Hacienda del Mar, a beachfront villa in Puerto Aventuras, but wanted a completely different vibe for our rehearsal dinner. We had 36 people. The prices for a sit down dinner were out of our price range at Luna Maya (but seemingly the norm for a nice restaurant in the area). They actually proposed a passed hor douerves and cocktail reception on their rooftop to suit my budget. The rooftop is just as nice but more modern and partylike than the restaurant. It was an incredibly cool environment, the food (typical Yucatan dishes) was delicious, the drinks were good (to stay in our budget we only served sangria and margaritas) and best of all the service was remarkable. I was scared that it would not be top notch since we were taking a more affordable approach but even my picky NYer foodie friends noted the top-notch quality of the food and service.

Some pics from our RD below.

Good luck with your decision.

Cheers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
