You could always do one as an anniversary gift for him down the road! Maybe a one year anniversary gift? And then he'd be surprised!

However it's a one of kind and lots of people before me have tried it on. I know I can get it dry cleaned and it will be like new but I'm having a hard time committing to something that's pretty much full price but isn't new. Hmmm decisions decisions.........

I'm off to try on more dresses this week and it might make my decision on the previous dress more clear. Time is getting on. I better kick it into high gear or I might be wearing my bathing suit to get married. hahaha!

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Good luck on your shoot today Kay.

Ask for a discount if you are buying it off the rack. I purchased mine off the rack and worked it down from $1150 plus taxes (which would have been close to $1400) to $1000 taxes included - at first they said they'd give it to me $1150 taxes included and then I said I'd think about it - called them back and asked if I paid cash could they give me a better deal and she said the lowest she could go was $1000 taxes included and of course I took it! Mine was brand new from this year and I think I am the one who tried it on the most... but most bridal salons will lower the price on off the rack dresses. I had a friend of mine haggle hers down from like 2000$ to like $1200 (that was in a salon in Montreal) so they might have had more wiggle room, but I wouldn't be shy to ask for a discount and if you can afford it offer to pay cash because visa transactions are costly for businesses.

I am super excited to finally see the dress you pick! And good luck with the rest of your dress appointments. Once I found the one I didn't want to try more on, but I did to make absolute sure, but in the end I kept comparing it to "the dress" and never felt the same in any other one.

And worse comes to worst getting married in your bathing suit wouldn't be the worst thing lol!

csho- that is great advice. They did lower it a bit but not enough to make me buy obviously! lol I'm going to go back and see if there is anything else they can do. I need their bottom line. Then I can make an educated decision.

Thank you so much. Your encouragement is so appreciated

I can't wait to finally have found the dress and I can post it on here. Headed out again tonight.

Quick question for you ladies getting married at the ILA.

Did the wedding coordinator send you a form to fill out. It asks things like your occupation, place of birth etc.?

Just curious.

Thanks :)

Are you having a legal ceremony there? Then they probably need that information for the legal aspect. I am only doing a symbolic ceremony as we are having a catholic service here and thought it would be easier to just do it legally in Canada as well. So I don't think I had to fill that information out - just what we wanted to reserve for our wedding!

My wedding coordinator just sent me all the forms about 2 weeks ago... it really wasn't much some questions and photocopies of our birth certificates and passports! I am about 3 months out!

Yes having a legal ceremony. That makes more sense now. Thank you for that!

Thanks as well Jolene!

Kay can you tell me which Etsy vendor you purchased your embroidered handkerchiefs from? I know you posted it on here somewhere! I am looking to get one for my dad! Also were you pleased with the price and quality of the hanky and stitching?
