  1. Hello there. Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I can't post them on here other than in an attachment Do you have an email address I can send them to? Where are you located?
  2. Do you have an email address I can send them to? I don't think I am at 150 posts yet either. It's rather annoying! Let me know where I can send pictures. Take care
  3. Thank you VegasBride121314. Hopefully it sells it's a gorgeous dress.
  4. I am selling my wedding dress. Serious inquiries only. It is a beautiful Alfred Angelo dress. Taffeta, Organza, Rhinestones, Crystal Beading, Pearls, and chapel train I also had the beaded belt sewn right into the dress so it wouldn't interfere with the corset back. The dress is a size 14 but with a corset top so could go up or down a size. I did have minor alterations done to the dress. It was just taken up in the length. I'm fairly tall at 5'7" and wore heels (approx. 3inch heels). Can still be altered to be shorter. Serious inquiries only please. This is a beautiful dress. I would love to see it go to a bride who is looking for an amazing dress but doesn't want to pay original ticket price. Please contact me by email if you have any questions or are interested. I also have more pictures available if needed. alishav1982@@gmail.com
  5. Hey ladies. Just a quick question. Did anyone have any trouble receiving their marriage certificate? We were married Jan 25th. I emailed the wedding coordinator because I was wondering if there was a tracking number for the certificate. I was anxious to see where it was in transit. Giselle emailed me back and said that she would need my address to send the certificate. I didn't think we had to request this. I filled out an information sheet prior to us going to Cuba. There was a spot there that said "home address (so we can send certificate)". Giselle said she sent it out for mailing but still two weeks later and I can't track my shipment. Anyone have a similar situation? Was it resolved? I'm getting nervous
  6. Hey it's the least I could do you girls are amazing. The extra hour will be good for you. We were a little rushed for pictures. When the sun goes down it goes down fast. I had 43 people attend our wedding. So there were 11 of us at the head table and then 16 under each palapa. The only thing I didn't care for was that people had their backs to each other. The head table was kind of in a horseshoe shape and the other palapas had back to back long tables. That's a great idea to send someone to check it out. My photographer was awesome. I think we will become great friends. Love her xo You just about set for your wedding. I am so excited for you. You are going to have a blast. Anything you are worried about or any questions?
  7. Hey guys. Long time no talk. How is everyone? How is planning? I finally have some time to post. Sooo.......the wedding was absolutely perfect. The weather was just gorgeous (all thanks to Matt's dad). I wasn't nervous at all. The day of the wedding the girls and I went for breakfast and then sat around the pool for a bit and then got ready. It was such a relaxing day. I only started to get nervous when I was about to walk down the aisle. It was fine though. We didn't write our own vows but I would highly recommend this. I just feel it would be a nice touch. If you're not a cryer like I am and can get the vows out. lol Oh there was one thing wrong with the ceremony but I didn't even notice. The groomsman and the best man had their pants mixed up by the seamstress. They were both the same size waist so we put little name tags on them. I guess she mixed them up when she put them back on so the tall one had the short guys pants on and vise versa. Being boys they just thought that the seamstress measured the ones too short. Silly really, they switched after the ceremony. We were married on the terrace on the 5th floor @ 4pm. We paid the pool guy to keep the noise down and from 4-430 it was perfectly quiet apparently. We were a bit late to the ceremony. It's my thing....I'm always late.....I swear I'm getting better lol. The set up for the dinner was fabulous. We had our dinner at the palapas. We used three of them and then used the other to do our first dance as we entered the dinner. Make sure if you bring your own decorations you map out where or how you would like things. I forgot to mention how I wanted a few things set up, like my bride and groom signs for the back of the chairs. I found them hanging from one of the palapas kind of randomly. It's okay I sent someone to cut them down and put them on our chairs. Crisis averted lol The dinner is really yummy and you do have an option to upgrade your guests meal to the lobster. This is 20 cuc's/person! I didn't opt for this but would be a nice touch if you don't have tons of people. The exchange rate wasn't great so keep that in mind when making the decisions involving money. We planned on having the reception/party on the beach but it was fairly windy and last minute we decided to change location and move the party to the disco. It was perfect there. I'm sure the beach would have been nice as well and I don't really have a comparison but the disco was perfect for us. We could do our dances with our parents and the DJ was awesome. Even if you don't have your own music they do and it's really quite good. There were also lots of places to sit down which some of our guests appreciated. We had a few people creep into the disco. There isn't anything preventing this from happening. There is a sign that says there is a private party but not all pay attention to this. We did have a few people come in and we just told the bartender and they had them leave. At 11pm the disco opened up to the resort and it got busy fast. We partied until the wee hours of the night and we couldn't have been happier. We went into Havana on Monday to take most of our wedding pictures just Matt and I and the photographers. It was spectacular. Such an experience I would do it again in a heartbeat. Not the marriage part (I'm only doing this once) but the picture part it was soooo much fun. A little hot trekking around in the dress all day but sooooo worth it. I've attached a link to my photographers journal. It's the second one down entitled "I left my heart in Havana" http://www.katrizzaphotography.com/journal/ If you guys have any questions/concerns just send me a message I would love to help where I can. Hope all is well with everyone
  8. Hey ladies. I'm so sad this site is so hard to navigate now. It used to be something I looked forward to in my day. We are officially 18 sleeps away from leaving. I'm a wee bit nervous but sooooo excited. I can't wait! Kay are you all ready? I still have a page of things to do but I'm steadily getting things done. It's really just finishing up things. How is everyone else doing? How are things coming along?
  9. Thanks Carina. I hope they do too. I'm worried! We pick them up this Sunday. oh those sounds nice. I can't wait to see what they look like. I love coral. Good choice. I don't care for this site at all now. I'm sure I will get used to it. If I could find out how to add pictures I would be a happy camper. I'll keep trying. I finally have some pictures from the Jack and Jill, I would love to share. Yipee I found out how to post pics!! So officially 42 days to go. I can't believe it. Time has just flown by. Going with one of my bridesmaids today to have her dress fitted. This will be the first time we have seen the actual dress in the actual colour. I'm pretty excited about that. I'll make sure to take pics. I've added a bunch of pics the first one is Matt's gift box (outside) second pic (inside of box) third pic is the flowers that I'm returning. Sorry so many pics! lol Hope all is well with everyone else Okay so if you are like me and don't have 150 posts yet you can't see my attachments I wish I could just copy and paste but it won't let me mrandmrs.pdf
  10. Hey guys! The site has changed. Hard to navigate but we will get used to it. Sorry I've been so MIA as well. My 13 year old sister just moved in with us and it's hectic to say the least! I picked up my flowers last Sunday. They were not what I ordered but thought I could love them so I took them home. Nope can't love them so I called and the lady that runs the business informed me that she had her sister working that day and she had never worked there before. She told me she could understand how my vision got lost in translation. So she's re-doing them for me. All peonies. Hopefully it's better. Picking the new flowers up next Sunday. We bought our wedding bands. The deadline for final booking has come and gone and only 2 people didn't book. They had something major come up Got Fiance his gift and decorated the box to look like a suitcase. Our favour cups came in and I put a sample one together. They turned out well. Also got the sign done for our guestbook table. Now if I can figure how to post pictures I could share.....heeeelllllp lol Lopi - Love the flowers. You did a great job! Not sure where you are located but Michaels is having a 20% off your entire purchase including sale items tomorrow between 9am-1pm. Just a heads up

  12. Thanks Lydia. I know I wish I could post it as well. Maybe I'll try to post it to you tube tonight and see if that works. I can't make your video work Kay....can you send it to [email protected]. Excited to see it
  13. Yes it's been busy! It will definitely fly by. I keep saying that to my fiance. My bachelorette party is on the 4th of January. That's it for the party part of it and then we can get all packed and ready to go. I can't wait. Hopefully I will get my DIY projects finished soon and can post some pictures. Can't wait to share. How are things with you Carina?
  14. Lydia - You looked amazing. Those pictures are so nice. Everything came together wonderfully. Contratulations. Love the group shot!! Kay - Looks like your jack and jill was fun!!! Your outfits were cute. Love the t's you made. Hope it was a success. Speaking of the pie in the face. I really wish we could post videos. I have a great one too. I was originally supposed to get the pie in the face and then everyone threw in money for Matt to get it. I was standing near (big mistake) Matt and they pied me in the face instead of him!!! It was perfect. My MOH slowed down the video and put sounds effects to it. It was hilarious! I've emailed you the video. Maybe you can send me yours. I'd love to see it. Kay we are just about twins on everything.....my shower was Sunday as well. It was soo nice. I felt so overwhelmed. Glad you had a nice time! Less than two months away Kay can you believe it. We found our wedding bands and have ordered them. Bridesmaids dresses are in. Need shoes to have them altered. We are picking up the flowers on Sunday. Just some other small stuff to do. Things are coming along. Anyone have new DIY projects to share.
  15. I agree. I have said countless times, "oh there is lots of time". Now it is just about two months away!! Ahhhh I can't wait though. Our jack and jill was a great success. It was very overwhelming to see the love and support from our families and friends. Everything went well. We had a ton of food left over and donated it to a local men's shelter. It was a fabulous night. My only regret was not having a DJ. I would definitely try and find a friend who does this or is at least willing to man the music all night. There wasn't much dancing because of this. It was still a great time. So you remember the story about me posting an ad on the internet trying to find my photographer.......well I was a little worried because we had not met her yet. Her and her husband came to the J & J. It was sooo nice to meet them and they are very down to earth people like us so that's perfect. We mesh very well and I can't wait to work with them. Glad that worked out well. I was a little worried. I'm hoping she will send me some of the pictures she took. I didn't take any Flowers will be in next week. Very excited to see how they turned out. The bridesmaids dresses are in. We are going next Thursday to try them on and get all set for the alterations. Kay have you purchased your wedding bands yet? That's one thing we have left to do. Then a bunch of smaller things and we should be good to go! Carina. I LOVE dessert tables. I can't wait to see all of your DIY stuff.
  16. I did notice that there were speakers in the corners of the palapas. Giselle had sent me an email regarding this. I've posted it below Dear Alisha: There are 4 Palapas, each one can fit 16 people making 2 tables of 8 people each(4 people per side). At the price of the dinner at the Palapas(15.0CUC x person), is included the chairs with white covers and decoration of the place). At the Palapas and beach party is included the open bar and Dj with music equipment. Best regards Giselle There is a sound system for the terrace as well. I've heard many past brides speak of this. We aren't doing special dances either. We may even cut out the garter toss and the bouquet toss. We are walking down the aisle to Marry me by Train, our first dance is Smile by Uncle Kracker, we are going to do a last dance song, Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillait. Those are the only songs we have decided on. Our list for dinner music is below. Some of them mean something to us some of them are just nice songs. You and Me- Dave Matthews Band I'm yours - Jason Mraz At last - Etta James A thousand years - Christina Perri Mr. Jones - Counting Crows (we are HUGE fans) Forever - Ben Harper 1,2,3,4 - Plain White T's I wont' give up - Jason Mraz Crazy love - Van Morrison Forever and ever Amen - Randy Travis Weak - SWV It's a very weird mix up of music but we love it. lol I'm going to put it on CD as well as an ipod just to cover all of the basis. Giselle has confirmed that putting them on a CD will definitely work. The bose speaker is a great idea. We will be doing this as well just in case.

It matches perfectly with your colour theme. Can't wait to see it all come together. Hi Alley, I know I love those sandals... but there's a lot going on with the guys right now and ya.... lol didn't want to spend the money buying them for them. Long story. Good luck they did have different colours of the blazer Hey Kay. Totally understand. Hopefully everything works out. I'm going to go and check it out now. That's awesome they have different colours. Did you buy it from a certain seller?

Also love both of your guys outfits! Very nice! Last week my parents were visiting and we hit up the Banana Republic Outlet and found my dad a really nice pair of linen pants (pretty much exactly what I was looking for) and the best part... they were 10$ regular like 90$. I was sooo happy! They actually look very similar to the ones you bought Kay! Jolene and Lydia. Have a fabulous time. Try not to stress and like Carina, I can't wait to hear how it went. I will definitely take lots of pictures. I've invited my photographer so hopefully she can come and take some really great pictures. I'll be sure to report back. Can't wait. WOW what a steal. Pants for $10. LOVE it. Good find.

You can see the front and the back of them. They are wearing their shirts too. I don't have a picture of all three of them together. Two was the best I had. lol I was a little worried about putting a linen shirt and a light dress pant together but I love the way it looks. I'm hoping for them to wear a white dock shoe or a nice flip flop. Let me know how yours goes Alley The guys attire looks great, I finally just ordered the men's attire which will be: Andrew, my FI is wearing the same but with this jacket: I am SOOO happy the guys stuff is now taken care of! They just need sandals, which I don't really care if they match or not as long as they are black!!! I ordered from Island Importer, I will update once they arrive on how they are! Here is a quick mock up I made yesterday. Otherwise I'd probably just go for either white lilies or calla lilies and still wrap the stem in the same fashion. Hey Carina. I love these flowers. My issue with using the flowers from the resort is that you just don't know what you will end up with. I'm sure they have options and you would be happy with something if you do choose to go this route but if you want to be sure they look like you had invisioned I would go with these. They are great. I am doing the same thing. I had a lady make my bouquets (currently being made) and I am going to put them in tall mason jars for the centerpieces. I'm also getting small mason jars and putting water and a floating tea light in them. I'm going to run the little mason jars down the tables without the centerpiece, as there will be only one centerpiece per palapa but three or four tables. If that makes sense. Hope this helps.
  21. Sorry Kay....is that where you got the blue jacket?
  22. Hmmm I might have to check that place out. I don't love the jacket that matches the pants we got for the guys. I may do the linen jacket for Matt. Thanks for the info
