THANK YOUUUU! :) It really is such an amazing feeling. I NEVER thought I'd have it. I watch 'Say Yes to the Dress' ALL THE TIME..and they always talk about having that moment and kept saying 'there's no way i'll have that - i'll just find something that looks decent and go with it'...I was SO WRONG!!
And now that i have an actual dress - i have a literal goal for my weightloss. eeeeeeeeeeeee - July can't come soon enough! I'm already stoked for my 1st fitting!!

I picked up my wedding dress last week after the alterations were complete. During the course of my engagement I have changed my mind twice on my wedding dress. This dress I just picked up was dress #3. And I almost changed my mind again while it was being altered. Can you ladies take a look and give opinons please? I went with a sait fit and flare mermaid style dress with a suttle sweetheart neckline and bow detail from Davids Bridal.  For my alterations I had a corset lace up back added and a 9 point bustle that flows with style of the bottom of the dress.

I was in the same boat. Although mine is not a complete mermaid. I am also thinking about skipping the veil and putting a tropical flower in my hair

This dress is beautiful on you!  I love the fit and flair mermaid style, you have the figure to pull it off gorgeously.  I be the back looks great too, I wouldnt even think to put a corset back on it  - just because I have no imagination, lol.  But I bet it balances the traditional look of the front of the dress and adds that extra sexiness of corset in the back.  Perfect!

I put a deposit on my own dress, and keep thinking what if I made the wrong choice.  But, everytime I think about how I felt in the dress I ended up going with, I once again am re-assured.  I can't wait for it to actually come in and all the pieces start to really come together!

Ladies:  I'm struggling with deciding whether I want to do a veil or just go with a tropical flower in my hair.  My dress is a mermaid style with loose ruffles at bottom, and sweetheart neckline - very little beading.  I think I've finally come to a compromise with myself - haha.  I'll do a fingertip length veil for the ceremony which will have crystals on it that match a few crystals on the dress (very little), and for the reception, I'll put in a colorful tropical flower in my hair for a more festive look.  My FI is a bit more traditional than I am so I know he'll want to see the veil for the ceremony.

Elissae:  maybe u can do the same and have the best of both worlds?  msnwink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
