I love that Jim Hjelm on you, great choice. May I ask how much you paid for it? I'm thinking of getting it for myself :) wondering if it fits in the budget
Sorry I just saw this! I paid $2100 for it with tax. It was normally over $3900. If you're in LA I definitely recommend checking out Glamour Closet, where I got my dress!!

I like # 2 & #3. But I am a big fan of lace. If you can't refund # 2, I'd say don't get #3. It's a dress you'll wear one day for about 6hrs. And you'll look stunning regardless. :-)

YOu will probably have more of a hassle trying to sell the original dress because ppl will think it's a knockoff or that something is wrong with it. When I bought my dress...and it took me awhile before i could commit to one dress... the sales lady told me when you pay your deposit, you are essentially committing to the dress. At that point you STOP looking. It was hard to do but there are so many other things to do when planning a wedding you just need to focus. Shoe shopping is also a lot of fun, btw. :-)

Thanks ladies for the input!! Yeah it turned out that the bridal shop would not refund any of my money for dress #2 since I'd already paid in full. I will pick it up this month when it arrives and then I have to try and re-sell it. :( But it's OK because I'm happy with #3. That first pic I posted is kind of a horrible pic. Here's a better one (only slightly better. weird lighting/coloring and fuzzy.)

P.S.-- FI brews beer and saves the old bottles to disinfect and re-bottle with his own brews. I swear we're not just alcoholics who always have bottles littering our floor. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
