After all my wedding drama last week I spent the weekend doing (AKA ordering) little things to perk me up about it.  I ordered the flower for my hair, a 'Mr & Mrs Sign' for our sweetheart table and earrings for my BM as well as swatch samples for the clutches I'm going to have made for them.

I spoke with my sister and sorted things out, only she will be coming, no kids and no BIL. To further rub salt in my wounds after she knew I paid for her and her family and then she decided not to bring her family, she then tells me she's so happy because she has enough frequent flier miles that her plane ticket will be free.  What drives me nuts the most is her and my brother in law have money, he's the Chief of Engineering for a city and she's a manager at a hospital. Honestly I should have never offered to pay for her and her family, lesson learned doh.gif

The resort is reimbursing me some money, since it's now one adult in her room and not 4 people...I think I lost about $75 in their penalty fee. I'm sure I could've fought harder but I just didn't have the energy. I just want to let it go and move on

Well not that it is the answer you really wanted.. but at least she finally gave you an answer.  undecided.gif

OMG - I have probably missed a bunch of post that I would normally reply to.. My head is spinning right now and I can't consintrate HAHA

So I sent out a email to everyone last night with more info about Sandals and how to book and other little things... I asked everyone to reply so I know that they got it because I set up a special email address for wedding stuff.

Only one person replied . .   So today I sent out a text to everyone else asking them to check their junk folders and said "if you find the email please reply to it so I know you got it... if you did not get it please text me back so I can make sure I typed your email in correctly"

What a Fing mistake that was!!  I am getting all kinds of text and emails now... People are texting me to say they got it... I had a reason why I wanted an email back ARG

hahaha

and BREATH heheh

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
