It's ok Cindy..MIL and FI's grandfather have invited the entire island of St. Vincent. I mean down to the lady who milks the cows (I'm totally kidding but you get the idea) FI just said...whoever shows up that you invited you guys have to pay. We're paying for the 35 people package and only expected to come in for the extra 15-20 we expect.

My trainer told me I needed to stop drinking alcohol. I asked if that included wine or just like margaritas and beer, she sail ALL alcohol. I told her I didn't see that happening haha

oohh man!  I don't really drink that often anymore... but being told NO MORE AT all....  I'd have to stop hanging out with my dad and step mom... all we do is drink!! hahahaha

He has and her thing she keeps saying is "it's not right" well we want a small intimate wedding so it's not right of her to add ppl we don't want....It's a touchy subject

Ugh that's awful, if she wants to invite extra people she should pay for them! I know it's a touchy subject and we have to tread carefully with parents and FIL but it still sucks!

I guess I'm lucky...my parents are like: "you invite who you want" and both of them have a fairly small inner circle.  On the other hand, FH has told his parents to give him a list of quite a few people, so I am going to trust that he knows what he's doing (hopefully he'll allocate some to the at home reception!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
