For my engagement party, my mom bought bottles of patron (we had it at a nightclub. during the day) lined up the bar with shot glasses and made the dj play the song and everyone took a shot. we plan on doing that again at the reception! lol I can't wait. btw you're all invited! lol

I just realized.. most (if not all) of you are getting married way before I do ... what am I going to do when you all leave :(
don't worry i have no life..I'll still be around the actual day goes by so quickly I think the planning is best part of the wedding.. we will all have to just check in or exchange emails

I am devasted. And my back up space is also booked. I told her to add it to the contract multiple times and she never did. I did not want to sign the contract without the proper information in the contract. But she didn't listen. She also hasn't taken out the cocktail hour or added my bonfire like I told her to 3 times already.

is there anything I can do about this? I don't have a reception space! And I do NOT want in on the beach. I AM SO UPSET I WANT TO CRY OR THROW UP OR BOTH!!

Yuck! Do you have any of the request you made to her in emails? I think you should contact her management for sure!!

So I wanted to update you all on what ended up happening. I finally got a hold of the WC. She said unfortunately the other couples booked and signed for the locations, while I never signed (she never put it in the contract for me, so I didn't want to sign unless it was in there). Anyway, I have reserved a different location. It's nice, but not what I had envisioned. It's ok though. I am letting it go. She said that since we are so far out from the actual date that things may happen - people might change their minds, cancel their weddings (yikes), decide to go with another resort, etc. SO I guess I am waiting and crossing my fingers. If not, I will make due cheers.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
