My Test Run on RSVP's.. Pics

    I think this is up to your perosnal preference, but I only used the two blank lines and I'm hoping that my guest will fill it out correctly.   I also adressed this in greater detail on my wedding webiste, so hopefully this will clear any confusion.  But on my paper RSVP, I also have a count for entre meal selction (Vegetarian, Fish, Beef)  and I didn't want my RSVP to become too cluttered.

      Thanks! I will try this tomorrow.. I was doing them in publisher, and I couldn't find the "behind text" picture layout.. Maybe bc I didn't have it in a text box.. If that doesn't work I'll try it in Word. :o)  Then when I get my paper in I can see if it looks better with or without the stamps. :o)   Thanks soo much for letting me know, I know I wasn't crazy about the behind the text layout.. lol

      These will looks awesome on pearlescent cardstock. I definitely understand your frustration regarding background images.  I ran into the same problem with my orchid themed boarding pass invites, but I finally figured it out (in MS word version 2010 anyway).  Hopefully this make sense: make sure you format  all of your images to be "behind  text". Also your text has be to inserted in a text box in order to select teh proper formatting options.  Once you create a text box, make the fill color white, and set the transparency to 20% to 50% (this is a matter of personal preference and image/font colors being used).         Do you have a pic on here of your RSVP's? :o)

         

        We're gonna have our reception dinner at Luciano's in the Bahamas. An italian place.. I hope no one complains.. I know it's far from traditional when it comes to weddings.. But no one here does DW's in my fam, so I figured why not make everything our own.

          I seriously LOVE THEM! That is exactly what I was thinking of doing for my RSVPs!! The rounded corners look authentic, and yes, I would take out the place stamp here, I had them in my STDs and they will just be covered up - unless we do a scrap book or something.  Where di you get this  template?

            Thank You!!  I'm soo excited about them now. I made a few changes and printed a new one.. I'll upload it when I get to work.

             

            I made it from scratch in Publisher.. :o)   I just looked at other peoples RSVP's online and created one to my liking.

                They need a warning label that says "May become highly addicting to round all corners.."   LOL

                  I love your RSVP's, they will look great on a metallic card stock! Just be sure your printer can handle the weight of paper you choose when buying [so you don't waste money or have an unecessary headache]. It's a good idea to designate "children" with age category, but then children above 13 would be consdirered adults correct? As long as this is what it means, the wording should be fine. But you could also have people replying that don't know what children above 13 and below 18 would be considered LOL I'm sure whatever it is, they'll write down the proper number.

                    I love Italian!. I say do whatever feels right.  That's the beauty of DW's, they're untraditional and it's all about fitting the personalities and desire of the couple!

                     

                    I’m excited to see your new RSVP design.  And no, I haven't posted my invites yet, I haven't even done a test print, but maybe I should find the time this weekend. I haven't even looked at them in a week. I wanted to make sure that when I see them again, that I have a discerning eye an am 100% confident that I love them. This is actually my fourth attempt at designing my invites, and I think it's made me a bit gun-shy. But I think a test print will help solidify my design. Then I can finally commit to my cardstock and ribbon color selections from the dozens of samples that I've accumulated over the past month... Who knew there would be so many white metallic/pearlescent cardstock options.

                      Thank You!!.. I've been using my moms printer to print on regular cardstock.. But I dont think it will work on the metallic.. I read a forum where other were using the matallic paper from PaperandMore and recommended a Dell Laser Printer that was less than $100. I'll probably go out and buy one since I'm saving a ton by doing my passport invites myself. :o)

                       

                      hehehe.. that was my exact thought!!  I didn't want people to leave out their children ages 13+.. lol...

                      So surely these people will know if their children don't fit in the 2-12 category they will be considered adults (I know they don't want to consider their "babies" adults but it's gotta happen for my RSVP..)  lol.. Or they can always call. :o)  I think we'll have no more than 5 or 6 children attending anyhow; and they are my FI's siblings.
