My fiancé and I have contacted Planner 1 events for about three weeks and they have yet to give us an estimate of the cost for the decorations. It does seem like they charge for every little thing. I would be glad to see your pictures of your decorations and email you about Raffaele from Mayan Hospitality.

I am new to this site and so glad that I have found this to help with the planning. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Welcome Jamese and congrats!! I am also in the midst of trying to figure out what decorations I want from Planner 1. What did you guys decide on? I spoke with Fernanda from Planner 1 a few weeks ago and she sent me some pictures with some prices. If you give me your e-mail, I'd be happy to send it to you..

Hello bksweetheart! Thank you and congrats to you as well. I hope you are enjoying your planning and things are coming along well. My fiancé and I have been trying to contact Fernanda for almost a month now and still have yet to receive an estimate from her. She says that she will get back to us soon, but she has not done so. Therefore, we decided that we are not going to work with Planner 1. They seem to be expensive and unresponsive. I have been in contact with Raffaele from Mayan Hospitality aka EW Events and Leanne Marie Weddings who have been very responsive! Thanks to Celebrate1106, who put me in contact with Raffaele. We gave him some of our ideas and he showed us some pictures of weddings at the Beloved Hotel. We are just waiting to receive an estimate from both vendors and then we will make a decision on which company is in our budget. You can email me at [email protected] and I would love to share some of my ideas with you.

Hey girls. I was previously in touch with Fernanda at Planner 1 and she sent me a price list which she said they no longer use but to just get a general idea. Prices don't seem that high. However, I would appreciate any feedback with Mayan Hospitality so that I can compare vendors. Any info would be great.

Hello! I just received my proposal from Fernanda at Planner 1. Some of the prices were reasonable, but there were a lot that seems to be extremely expensive. I am thinking about bringing some decorations to lower the cost (such as the aisle runner, fans for the ceremony, and table runners). I was also thinking about making a brooch bouquet for myself. I don't know if that would be too much to travel with. However, I did contact Mayan Hospitality, and I am still waiting to hear from Raffaele on a proposal for the ideas my fiancé and I had in mind. I will let you know once he responds.

I think you will need to send Alejandro a copy of the confirmation of your reservation (so he can see that you are booked for the time period of your wedding). And then he should send you a pdf confirmation letter with your wedding date and wedding confirmation number. Once you start planning with what specific items you would like to add (such as rehearsal dinner menu, reception menu, any add-ons such as DJ, flowers), he'll create a quote for you when you get to a good point or near finalization. Congrats on setting the date!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
