Emily11386
I think that if things continue the way they have been, my fiancé wants to contact the corporate office. He said contacting the actual coordinator or even their supervisor hasn't seemed to make a difference so he thinks that's the next step. I agree that it makes me nervous since they are in charge of making sure everything comes together on the day of the wedding, but they just don't seem to be reasonable in so many areas. Billandstina
Tell us how it goes! My FI is too laid back and when he's irritated half the time you don't even know so I don't think they'd fully get the irritation if he did it! Lol! Which leaves me...and I'm trying my hardest to get this stuff figured out before they have to deal with my dad when we get down there...they should be scared if it comes to that! Lolol! Alicia415
I agree with everything you girls have brought up. It's frustrating and very sad that they make planning your wedding as stressful as they do. When we signed up for a destination wedding, this was not at all what we had in mind. The only thing that keeps me sane are the reviews that say it's all worth it in the end and they really do a great job at putting it all together. We'll see I guess. Question about how you girls are doing the coordinating confirming the menu and ordering invitations. Elsa seems to want no part in solidifying the menu (or anything else) until 3 months out, but we have to order our invitations before then. Are you just picking want you want to put on the response cards and then confirming it after?
txbrideinmexico
As an update for you girls, I'm sure you will not be surprised to hear that there was no budging on the cake ($15 per person quoted for a not too complicated custom cake). My WC's response was basically "I undestand, but it's custom. Do you want it or not?". Not a huge deal, it's just a cake, but it adds to the frustration... @billandstina I'm glad you got the guest passes waived. That makes me wonder if I can get anything by stomping my feet a little more... I just want to choose my limited battles carefully. I'm consideirng the welcome bags as one of them. Come on... $5 each to pass those out when people are paying to be guests of the hotel? Umm, not just no, but HELL NO!
Billandstina
They quoted me $7 per bag to pass them out! Too bad we have this board to double check them and their wishy washy overpriced quotes! Lol
justchrissy
thanks for the response! I will have to go back & look at the reccomendations for photographers. I have seen del sols work & its AMAZING but it seems like Ive read they are pretty pricey tho right? Not to mention having to pay the resort to pay somebody else to come provide you a service!! The reviews on this website are great to find a photographer. If you go back a few pages many people names who they are using. I booked Sascha Gluck, but Del Sol is one of the others I remember looking into and Claudia. All the photographers I emailed were about 100x more responsive and helpful than the resort. I'm also having a good friend who is trying to break into wedding photography do some extra portraits and stuff for me, but I am definitely not mentioning this to my WC, lest they try to charge me! @billandtina, I'm also curious as to whether that helped. I'm waiting on reply to my note, but I don't think she will do anything about it.

(The only reason I knew $5 before was from this board. Obviously I had to ask the question more than once to get it answered by my WC). ornxoxo
This is sad to hear from the fellow brides on communicating with the WC. Like I said before, if it wasn't because of the chapel, I would flee somewhere else longgggg time ago. Right after I put the deposit down to block my date, I sent questions in for my WC. It has been 8 days and have not heard from her! Do you ladies communicate via your personal email or through the communicator link that your WC sent you?
