Hello Everyone,

I am recently engaged and am started to plan our Destination Wedding in the Riviera Maya.  We have no idea what venue to choose and just basically have just narrowed it down to March 2013 as our date.  This forum has been of great assistance and I keep reading how it's very good if we use a Travel Agent specialized in Destination Weddings to help relief the stress of our guests as well as in the beginning stages when choosing a venue.  We are hoping to do a site visit this February coming up and would like to know if any of you ladies out there suggest a Destination Wedding Travel Agent you may have worked with.  I reside in Central Jersey in the Clark, NJ area.   Thank you! msnwink.gif

Hi FutureMrsM! Congratulations on your engagement! With so many options it is difficult to pick a resort. Working with a Destination Wedding Specialist definately is helpful. They will take the time to listen to what you are looking for not only for your group but also for your wedding. It is good to have an idea of what you are looking for; a large resort that offers lots of dining options, activities and nightly entertainment, or a smaller boutique resort that would offer a more intimate experience. Do you want something with a bit of a Mexican Flair or something modern and contemporary? Destination Wedding Travel Agents will have lots of experience and have hopefully been to many resorts so they can help you narrow down your choices based on what works best for your group and what you prefer for your experience there. They will also be the contact for all of your guests and guide them during the booking process. Some agents will help with all of your wedding details as well to ensure that your special day is all that you envision it to be. They have lots of experience so can offer some suggestions and ideas to help you along in that process as well. This time should be fun and exciting for you. A Destination Wedding Specialist will help to alliviate a lot of the stress of planning your travel arrangements and wedding details so that you can enjoy this special time. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
