Yes thats fine, dont worry about it. All the brides had to do it. They want a back and forth copy of your cc as well as your license.  After you send everything in (i did it via email) it will take no less then two weeks (because thats how long it take them to respond on an average) to send you back a copy of your request form with a copy of the cc transaction for your records.  Also, I would suggest when you send in your payment and request form in the same email bullet point the times and areas for where you want your seremony, cocktail hour and reception. so this way you have it for you records.  I keep all my emails with all prices quoted to me and confirmations of my venues and times.  good luck!

I have never known this before?

Want to make sure everyone else has done the same before I give my details away!

Please let me know if this is right

Thanks

Also, I am unsure as for times of the day. We will be getting married the very end of may, and we want the ceremony to be in daylight and photos, however we would like to have our cocktail hour when it just starts getting dark as we are having the fire dancers. Does anyone know what times would be best????? Thank you x

The package does not include everything. Only includes dinner for 20. We just found out we have to pay for the bar as well, kind of lame. $15 a person. Also the DJ is $300 an hr. The don't charge for whatever location you chose, unless you chose to have the dinner or reception at one of the resturants. Dance floor, lights, and decorations all cost extra. Getting married April, 13th 2012, I cannot believe how close it is. Nicole

There is one thing that I can't decide. We are having the ceremony at the Gazebo then cocktail hour at the jacuzzi but we are not sure where to have the meal/reception? We definitely want it outside but would like to see pictures of the various choices e.g deck by the beach, the beach, by the pool under the wooden bar thing?
Also I haven't managed to get an answer from Evangelina, I'm not sure if she understands what I am asking. I'm not sure if you can help ?
We want to have the Ultimate wedding package for 40 people. What does the gold dinner party include? Is it the whole reception (meal, venue, dance floor/area, DJ)?
Thanks so much for your help I'm sure I will be contacting you again soon! And if i can help you with anything please let me know

what do you mean the bar is not included, there is no open bar during dinner? So are we to pay a per person charge for the dinner (after the 20 people) and then also pay $15 a person for open bar??? I am starting to rethink DRC, I was looking into RIU hotels and they dont charge you all these extra fees, and if you close down one of the restarant for a private event which cost $2000, you dont have to pay for the dinner or drinks, its all included.

Hey did anyone find out if there is no open bar during dinner?  My FI are going back and forth between DRC and Now Sapphire, and I'm trying to get all costing together.

I also know that you can only use their approved DJ, DJ Visual Sounds?  Has anyone came across any reviews on him?

Thanks everyone!

Yes the open bar is included with your dinner (3 hours) if you want to extend past 3 hours its $15 per hour per person. As for the DJ, there are a few brides that just came back from their weddings and said that DJ was great and did everything needed for the party to be fun and successful. Hope this helps, Happy planning!

HI everyone,

I'm also considering DRC, and have found that many of the resorts tend to nickel & dime for certain things.  Some are worse than others, so i'm trying to figure out the "cheapest" and "prettiest" resort.  Silly me, I thought that by having a destination wedding that we'd actually save money.  Not really looking like that, so i'm coming to terms (next up, explaining all this to my mom!  wish me luck).

Linkn - I have heard of some couples paying for the photographer to stay at the resort for a night or two.  Is this not something that you do?  Do you have a list of resorts that don't have such strict rules on outside vendors?

Thanks and Happy Planning!

Let me know if there is anything specific you need... best of luck!

Does anyone know what the nightlife is life? I have read some things that this resort can be geared towards kids. Are there adult activities at night? How late are bars open until?

Thanks!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
