  1. They will! I brought a ton of tea light candles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I would not book anything the night you arrive, especially since you do not land until the evening. Maybe the following day? That's what we did. The following morning you will have your meeting with the onsite team which will go over all the details of each event. We had our wedding at Plaza Zavas and was a blast! Check out my albums, I posted some pictures. We had 50 and it was a great area for our size. I would not have chosen another area.
  3. @@BecomingaRiggio had her wedding in the zocolo hut. I'm not sure the proper name for it but it was beautiful! She also had a large crowd. Here's a photo of her set up from a distance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What locations did you originally have booked? How many do you have booked currently?
  5. I would say too hot, especially in June! Andddd if your on the beach there will be A LOT of lookers. We wanted something more private so we had our ceremony and cocktail hour on the sky deck. If you decide on beach, try having it later. Also the seaweed was TERRIBLE. Apparently its becoming a major in the area (not just that resort). Just keep that in mind Future Brides.. We asked for our guests not to bring gifts, their attendance was all we wanted. With that being said, people still gave them. We had a basket on our welcome table at the reception for favors, the wedding team made that into a gift/card basket later on into the evening. The brought the cards over but there was a gift bag sitting next to it which went missing towards the end of the night. Come to find out it was jewelry. I was very disappointed... So lesson learned. If people bring gifts DO NOT leave them on any tables which are not occupied by guests.
  6. Here's our wedding video. My sister in law brought a friend as her date and she followed us around with our GoPro for the day... I'm so grateful because I feel like I missed so much! I spent the past couple days editing all the videos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Got back a sneak peak of our photos today [emoji5]️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Here's my review - I will also post to review section Food Food was good, not gourmet but good. You must try the taco bar in the Mexican restaurant for lunch, so good! Room service was sometimes slow but we ordered it most nights very late after we had been out. Shrimp quesadillas were my favorite! The BBQ on the beach was pretty good as well for lunch. Rooms We were given a room in the adult’s only section for the first two nights, not sure why people would pay more for that section because the rooms are much smaller. The elevator in our building was not working and we were on the highest floor. The first room we were given... we walked up to the 4th floor, walked in and there were two people in bed together! Very embarrassing, they gave us someone else room. I was not happy... back down the stairs to the lobby... got another room.. Walked back up the 4 stories to our new room. My Aunt and Uncle were given a room, they walked in... Entire floor was flooded! Towels I love that this is not a wrist band resort, much classier. You can grab towels whenever you need them. A few mornings there were no towels to be found, I would have to wait and come back an hour or so later. Pools Clean! Three pool bars which was awesome. You must ask for a better type of alcohol or they will give you rail. Beach I would advise NOT to get married on the beach. We did not even sit on the beach once. A TON of seaweed which would smell at certain points of the day. They attempted to clear it but the tracker was small. Not their fault, but it was out of control. Wedding Laura and Ingrid from the wedding department were amazing. We had a two hour meeting with them and they went over EVERY details which was all executed perfectly. My only option as a backup was inside one of the halls which I was not happy about, but we had no rain so everything was fine. It was HOT though. We all were sweating a lot during the reception but no one complained and we all jumped into the pool at the end of the night. I can’t wait to get those photos back! The only couple things that happened though were the lobster we ordered did not come out, I had to complain and then 20 minutes it arrived (I think they forgot). We received some cards and 1 gift bag, the gift bag was stolen at the end of the night. I later found out the gift was jewelry, so I was very disappointed. I saw it sitting there one minute, gone the next. DJ All Music was great, played our requested songs as well as some other great one we did not think of! Everyone was dancing most of the night! We also choose the BBQ Deluxe menu and people raved about it. I was nervous about a buffet but I was worried the sit down would take too long (service is slow at the resort). So it wound up working out great! Spa Spa folks were AMAZING!!! They banged out our hair (8 girls in total) within two hours. Pros! I was very impressed by the quality. I used the salon and the bridal suite. We also had a 2 for 1 massage which was out of this world. Best massage I’ve ever had. If you go early they will put you into the whirl pool/sauna/shower to loosen your muscles. Take advantage and arrive 45 minute early.
  9. Here are some photos from our wedding last week. I will write a review shortly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Becomingariggio our ceremony is on sky deck and reception as plaza zavas. Your now having the reception at zocalo? What/where is that? You switched onsite? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Also - did you have your onsite meeting the morning after you arrived? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I'm getting married in a week and I've always preached that you should not look at weather and stress but I'm doing the opposite! Shows 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms. I really hope it changes Also - how is wifi there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. We will be there Sunday - Sunday. Wedding is Thursday on Sky Deck, Reception at Zavas.
  14. @becommingariggio Try to stay calm - I would ask the resort to give you a 'sweet heart' table, I think they are the rectangle 4 foot tables, and stick them in a back or off to the side. Very inconsiderate but don't let this ruin the next few days for you. When are you there until?
  15. @@BecomingaRiggio - WHAT! How does that even happen?? They booked a vacation and are already down there??? I'd be pissed... I'm heading down there Sunday. What days are you going?
  16. So glad to hear it! Can't wait to get the details!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Has anyone used the sky camera on the sky deck to view weddings? Or has anyone had family/friends login to view your wedding? I never had any luck when trying to log in. Tips/pointers? I don't know it if it worth having people try. Whenever I log in (using the recommended IE), it says 'Cannot be displayed' as if it were an invalid link. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thank you both!! Can someone give me the spa email address? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Becomingariggio my wedding is on Thursday the 25th, when is yours? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Did you set up your appointment already? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm three weeks out and can't make edits to the portal. My wedding coordinator takes a week or two to respond. Ugh, very frustrating! I'm getting nervous about the hair and makeup appointments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I saw a review on Trip Advisor that the spa did not have enough staff to do hair and makeup on the wedding day so everyone was running behind schedule. My wedding is at 5:30 pm. What time should I schedule my appointment? Did anyone schedule this PRIOR to arriving onsite (through the portal) or wait until you get down there? I have 7-10 girls that want their hair done. Thanks!!
  21. What is building number 4? Does Zavas Swim Up Bar (B3 area) allow children?
  22. For those who have already been to the resort, what pools are adult and kid friendly? We have only 1 kid and I dont want to isolate my cousin and her husband if we are all hanging out at the adult only pool. What is the nicest pool to congregate in? This is the link to the map: http://www.karismahotels.com/Portals/0/Mapa-AZSM270614.pdf
  23. It used to be brown, I loved it! But then they changed it to white I was very disappointed when I heard.
  24. How much is an appropriate amount to tip? I have no clue!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
