My FI is in the car industry, so he tends to feel that everything is negotiable, and wants to try to get lower prices for ceremony and reception items. I keep telling him that what they say is what it is. Has anybody had any success in negotiating lower prices for any items, and if so what were they and how did you do it? Thanks!

i have heard of brides who were able to "exchange" certain parts of the package for others, say they went with package A, but really liked a couple options from package B so the WC was able to combine them somehow. BUT i dont know if they would actually be willing to negotiate the price.

hopefully someone else has had good luck with this and can share with you!

My fiance (also in the automotive industry) thinks the same thing. I was showing him pricing on wedding packages for the hotels that I have narrowed my search down to, and he keeps saying oh that can be negotiable, that price can change, we should be able to apy a different price. I keep saying..dude, we are going out of the country, things are different and not even everything here is negotiable! LOL. Good luck to you on that, I feel ya girl! I completely understand.
