are you doing a dinner where you have to have everyone's entree choices ahead of time? If not, then I don't know that I'd bother with it. that's the only reason I'm doing place cards. the table numbers are more because we have to be sure his mother and his father (if his father goes) are separated lol but I think we'll be putting all of the place cards/table assignments on one table and let everyone come pick them up.

I still haven't decided if I'm doing table numbers and place settings....with only 40 people, I don't know if it's needed.  Seems like extra work I won't want to end up doing, haha.

welcome to the group and the site!!! it's super helpful - especially the resort-specific threads. how's your planning going?

Nope, we are doing a buffet style dinner.  That's what I was thinking- it's not really necessary- we don't have people that CANNOT sit next to each other and by the wedding everyone will have been there for at least 2 days, so you would hope that they can figure out 6 or 8 other people to sit next to, lol.

We're doing a buffet-style dinner, too, and I *really* wanted to avoid doing a seating chart and placecards. But since we're having 150 guests, our coordinator highly recommends one, so that people find their seats quickly. I think she might be right.

Sadly enough, she is probably right- 150 people is probably too many to have a free for all, lol.  I only have 40 people- 14 of which are in the wedding party so the rest will have 4 tables to choose from- first come first serve, lol.

Have you seen any of the templates you can use to assign seating?? Those might be helpful.

Here is one I saw:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
