Share your pregnancy story, so far

Recommended Posts

I hate to say it, but i think on any thread (pregnancy or not) ppl don't like to chime in on really personal things. Hopefully we get some more activity though.

That is so good that you are doing well. How many weeks are you?

Our ultrasound to find out the sex is scheduled for the 28th. I really like your idea of putting it in an envelope and having that as an awesome Christmas present. I would love to do that, but Brian is waaaayyyy to antsy for that. He is upset we have to wait 6 more days!

Maybe you could have a separate shower for your friends. That really stinks they can't come. I understand why though. hmmmm I have not even thought about having a shower yet. Was so busy with all the wedding stuff. I am really looking forward to going to tour L&D places. I have weird thoughts about it. I am trying to stay as open as possible but i know how I would like things to go in a perfect world. I am also really looking forward to finally have time for pregnant yoga classes. rolleyes.gif

Yeah, we're the 28th as well and I'm really hoping Matt decided he wants to know.  I honestly don't know how I'll wait another month.

A friend shower would be nice, but it's not like I can tell them they have to, ya know?  They'll have to figure it out themselves.  It just sucks b/c I'd so much rather cut family (is it too mean to admit that mostly his family?) and include all my friends.

My weeks change on Friday morning, so I'm currently in my 20th week, will turn to the 21st on Friday.  Will also start my 6th month on Friday!

But I've been reading that 3rd tri doesn't start until 26-28 week, so that's a tad later then I expected.  Oh well, I'm just glad that everything has been as smooth as it's been!

lol. no, I'm not on there yet.  We have been talking names since day one, but I have decided to cool it until we know the sex. I don't want to drive myself crazy. I just don't like any boys names. We like Savana for a girl. Then Brian came up with K for the middle name. My Grandma Kay passsed away the week before we met. So i like it for that, but he likes it mostly for my maiden name Kunkel. Savana k Bonidie would most likely be our little girl. If it is a boy please help me!!! lol I don't know why I have a feeling it is a boy. I will be happy either way.

Do you have like a best friend you can share your shower situation with. Maybe if you talk to them about it she will take the iniative to handle the "friend shower".

Are planning on delivering at the hospital? Any expectaions?

I swear I posted my pregnancy stories but I don't see them on here.  I, too, was easy to get prego (and was worried since I had been on the pill for 13+ years!).  It turns out I got prego really easy but then had complicated pregnancies.  Well, I was high risk because of my diabetes and then had my 1st baby 8 weeks early.  Then I lost 2 pregnancies (one right away and the second at about 11 weeks) and then was high risk w/my son for a zillion reasons (diabetes, age, pre-term delivery, etc.).  I can share all of the detail if anyone would find it helpful or interesting!  lol  But I now have 2 healthy kids, and we're done!  So as much as I don't want to get prego again ... I still love hearing about other women/couple going through the process.

P.S.  Did I miss it earlier, or what is your name, meBonidie2Be?

I don't think you can change your usename after one of the last forum upgrades...

I've felt all along that this was a boy too, but now that I'm further, I'm less sure.  I will be happy with either b/c I know that either way will be great, but I have a bajillion girl names and we don't have one boy name we like.  We both have a few that are ok to one of us, but the other disagrees.

I'm having dinner with my closest friends (who are all over an hour away, so that doesn't happen often!) next weekend, so hopefully I can finda tactful way to talk about it by then.

I'm delivering in a hospital with a midwife  with hopes for as natural a birth as you can get, but I'm open to epidurals, etc.  I don't want to make a huge commitment in my head to either way and feel disappointed in myself later.  I mean, I've never felt a contraction before, so how can I know how I'll handle it?  Some days, I'm 95% sure I can go natural and other days, I'm 95% sure I want an epi, so I guess it depends on how strong I'm feeling that day!

What about you?

Oh thanks for asking about the name, Ann!  I kept meaning to, and always forget.

And I think if you have time one day, you should definitely share your story!  I mean, I know all the details (or did at one point), but I'm sure it's new to most everyone else.

    • It’s been years... and I’m now searching for the same in Montego Bay or Negril. Did anyone ever have any luck finding?
    • Hello, I'm new to this site. I got engaged already and get married by next year. I have some doubts regarding our dating destination. Hope you will help me. Thank You!
    • Hello everyone,
Well, this upcoming valentine's day is special for me because I got engaged and planning to spend the day with my fiance. I'm planning to give her an ethical jumpsuit.

Other than that I have been searching the internet for some nice discounted coupons and searched among my friends and found different sites. Now, we are looking forward to that wonderful day. We searched a lot and found out, Escape The City. Orangeville is a great place for a day trip or weekend gateway from Toronto.
Theatre Orangeville is offering a weekend package that includes 2 tickets to a Live performance at the theatre, Premium Overnight Accommodations at Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn and Suites and $75 Downtown Wine and Dine Voucher which is valid at select Downtown restaurants, and Free Entry to the scenic Trails & Bridges of Island Lake.

We are so excited and eagerly waiting for that day.
If anyone has got any other suggestions for the venue, kindly share your thoughts/ideas.
      Thank You!

    • Please tell me, the best wedding venue in Saskatoon, SK.
    • Hey everyone! Like the others here, I'm interested in wedding reception, venue and all related steps & stuff. Starting with my first and the most important note is that we're international couple and we need to think of bilingual wedding. So the first thing we need to think of is whether it will be interpretation or 2 different venue coordinators, sermons and stuff? What is your experience, what could be the best and affordable solution? From googling the issue I've found this Interactio app team ( describing possible solution here  http://blog.interactio.io/case-study-weddings )Basically they offer to hold the venue in the main language, additionally providing simultaneous interpretation online to other quest's mobile phones. Looks like really easy and creative idea. What about the others? How did you solve this kind of obstacle? Any additional advises would be very welcomed here
