I am still searching for my perfect wedding dress. Where did you find yours or do you know of a great place to look (other than David's Bridal). I am trying to stay under $600 if at all possible.

    Thanks!

Hi! I just went looking yesterday at Betsy Robinson Bridal out in Baltimore. However there was nothing there for less than $1,000. I also plan to check out Katherine's of Old Town (Alexandria), Rizik in downtown DC, and Nikki's Creations in Greenbelt, MD (just for proximity.)

I'm not sure about the price points for any of these places, but picked them because they carry some of the designers that interest me. Where have you looked?

I went to Bridal Boutique in Columbia, but I got my dress from Scher's Bridal in Ocean City, MD

I have been to David's Bridal and a Jeanettes Boutique in Manassas. I plan on going to Katherine's in Old Town and I have also heard great things about Leesburg Bridal so I hope to get out that way soon.

A friend recommended a place in B'More called Stellas. Have you heard of it?

Haven't heard of Stella's, but can't hurt to check it out.

Oh yes, I also went to "I Do I Do" Bridal in Gaithersberg, MD, which sells consigned dresses as well as new. It was actually very nice and the people very helpful.

I bought my dress at Hannelore's in Old Town. I don't think they have anything under $1,000. They are known to be a bit snobby, but their selection is awesome.

I found the dress I ended up buying at Jeanettes (though I bought it at netbride.com). The other places I liked were Nicole Miller in Tysons Galleria and another shop I cant remember the name but it was in the fancy part (Kentlands?) of Gaithersburg. Maybe it started with a P? Sorry I am not much help, I live in the city so I get lost when I go to the 'burbs!

I had a pretty bad experience at I Do I Do but they did have a huge selection. I also went to a place maybe called Marie's in Old Town that was okay.

                macy's at Tyson's has a bridal section
                I went to Davids Bridal
there is a new shop in Old Town, just opened about two weeks ago. Next time I am down there I will look for the name of the shop.
                Christine + Will (married 7/20/07) + Ainsleigh (born 6/25/08) + Nolan (born 11/9/10) + Delaney (born 12/31/13) = One Very Happy Family!

My issue with I Do I Do was that they didn't really carry a large variety of sizes. I found several dresses I loved, but not in the correct size.

I think it's a good idea to shop all the more expensive shops to try on the dresses, and then find your favorite online for less money. (That's my goal!)

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I will have to try some of them out. I am just afraid to go into the stores that have expensive dresses because I don't want to fall in love with one and have that debate with myself! :) But finding a dress online for cheaper than the stores is a great option.
