Hello WeddingMay,
I am also considering getting married in a catholic church. What is the church called? How do you go about booking the church?

Hi Carremel
My parents had been to the church when they were on vacation. Here is the website for Mary, Gate of Heaven Catholic Church:

Hello, do you happen to know who to contact for a wedding at the Aquaduct? Thanks

PrincessJ I love the venue that you chose. After extensive research I think I am going to choose Iberostar Rose Hall beach for my destination wedding. I didn't see any resort locations that I liked for the ceremony so when I came across your pictures I got really excited. Did you find it to be very costly to have the ceremony at Cinnamon Hill? Would you mind if I asked how much? Thanks!

I hope I posted this correctly but I just wanted to say that I love the venue that you chose for your ceremony. I'm most likely going to choose Iberostar, I like the reviews but the lack of ceremony site photos is a little disappointing. I was wondering if you could give more details on the expenses you incurred with having the ceremony off site. Also what time of day did you get married? The photos came out stunning! Please bear with me as I am not only new to this site, but blogging overall

I think that the Non Hotel venues can be sooo beutiful as long as you have a good wedding planner or work with vendors who know the venue ... some great Non Hotel Venues that I have seen or been to wedding at are : Negril Escape, Coyaba Gardens & Falls, Firefly, Hummingbird Hall and I hear Negril Hills Golf Club (if you want an indoor reception). For the bride with a larger budget, I hear that Sea Wind Beach Club in Montego Bay (next door to Secrets Resots) is Fab ! But they charge a $2500 Venue fee (to cover the cost of closing the Beach Club for a private event) .

We are using a private wedding planner and having our wedding at Firefly. I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The only trouble is arranging all the vendors etc. It's a good thing that we have a wedding planner for that. I know price wise Tropical Weddings Jamaica varies depending on what you want.
Something to keep in mind, which I definately did not think of, is if you want to have your reception at the same location. We are doing that and have to book a tent and stuff which added to the final costs that I was not expecting.
