I need help choosing a wedding planner!

Recommended Posts

I've been liking Blue Sky Weddings but have seen a couple bad reviews. Has anyone had experience with them? Any suggestions on other WCs? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been working Vicki Habib - she's been doing it forever, but just went out on her own, I know she's making a webpage wedonmaui.com but I don't think she's got it up yet.  She's been really good and helped me work out several problems.  If you're interested I can get you her number, I really do recommend her.

Hi,

I am also looking for a WC for my wedding and reception.. Let me know who you've chosen. I'm torn between Kara from Your Aloha Wedding vs Louri from Tropical Maui Weddings. I hoe you find some one good.

Hi ladies:)  I'd love to recommend the coordinator we used in April for our wedding, Cherise with The Perfect Wedding Maui.  She was very prompt in her communications and was great at giving suggestions when asked while also respecting our wishes.  We were quite pleased with her work, and she was relatively inexpensive (which seemed to be a rare occasion on Maui...ha!).  Her facebook is: http://www.facebook.com/ThePerfectWeddingMaui  and her website is: http://www.theperfectweddingmaui.com/  I was referred to Cherise through another BDW bride who had used her and was as pleased as my husband and I.  Best wishes ladies and please PM me if you have any questions or I can be of any help!  You'll fall in love with Maui.

We just got married in Maui on October 11th.  I highly recommend Darren with Bliss Weddings - http://www.blissmaui.com.  He's also a florist - http://www.kuolanifloral.com.  He's been in the floral business for several years now but has recently started his wedding planning business.  He truly created the wedding of my dreams!  He's extremely sweet and was very cautious of our budget.  Good luck!

Aloha!

Jenny

I think you'll find Cherise to be supremely popular (I tried to book her but she was soo committed already) so I have chosen Kara from Your Aloha Wedding and things are going well so far.

I agree with Jenny.

Darren is a real joy to work with in planning my day and he also helped me with travel and activities. Darren is the best at www.blissmaui.com and www.kuolanifloral.com

wait until he helps you! You will see why I recommend him!

Lydia

    • You might consider underground studio Puerto Vallarta. They are a young coupe doing an excellent Job at affordable rates.
    • Thanks for answering Patty! We are having the legal proceedings done in December so february is the celebration. We will have pictures first then a ceremony with a religious discourse and then have the reception.  I'm guessing we will be 50 people, give or take. Half of them are Canadian. They will need accommodations but if we have the wedding ag a resort I dont want them to be forced into staying there if they dont want to.
    • Hello Everyone! Thank you for sharing your experience about Tom Moks. We have read it very careful before we booked. But at the end of the day we were very happy with his service. I consider myself as a difficult customer but this time everything went just smooth. We had our wedding in Sayulita, close to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. He came on time, he stayed with us late night.  After all we had to wait like 3weeks to receive the pictures, but we LOVED them. He sent us more pictures that he promises in the contract, and in 85% they were perfect.  The other 15% we asked him to edit once more, and he did it, without hesitation. This is his official Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tom_moks_photography/  Personally I would buy his service again, but the decision is always yours. E.
    • Hello!  We are getting married at El Dorado Royale in August 2019.  We are trying to decide between La Salon Royale and Los Tucanes for the reception. I vastly prefer Tucanes but I’m worried everyone will be hot and miserable since I’ve been told it doesn’t have AC. Does anyone have experience with either location? If Tucanes, is there a way to get fans or cool it down? If La Salon, I’d love tips on how to decorate inexpensively so that it doesn’t look so “ballroom”-y. Thank you very much!
