Now Jade Newbie!

Hi Adcurlz,

There is a pdf of their website that gives a better description of all of the extras.  Everyone over 25 people is $48 for the Eternity pkg and $53 for the Divine pkg.  It adds up!  I have yet to see the benefit of paying more for the Divine pkg so we went with the Eternity.  The other thing you will want to consider is that the pricing for 2013 will probably be higher.  There is also a charge for extra people for the cocktail hour and for cake.  If I find out more I'll let you know.

I would appreciate any tips and advice as well. I am also a little confused by the pricing. We are going to have about 50 people as well, and I cant figure out at least even a ball park figure of how much it is going to cost. I see the package prices but that doesnt tell me how much it will be for the extra people. OR maybe I am just not reading it right. So if anyone has any info on pricing that would be great.

Happy planning ladies!

Hi All,

I have an April 2012 wedding planned and reserved at the Now Jade, but still could use a little help.

I'm most worried about having blood drawn, getting a marriage license and receiving proof of our legal marriage back in the States. Can anyone comment on these at all? Thanks in advance!

I was worried about that also, so we are actually getting married by a justice of the peace next weekend and we're just not telling anyone :)  Also. make sure that if you do get legally married there, that you arrive in enough time before hand.  Getting married before hand also saves some money if that is a concern for you.  I think there is a thread about it on here somewhere. What's your wedding date?

We've got everything in place for an early April date, including travel plans to accommodate the requirement for arriving 4 business days before the wedding. As long as it's transferable to the US in terms of legal proof, we might be able to get over the blood draw... but that's a big might :) I think you're right about the cost too, as all of the fees that they quoted us for a transfer to English and documentation, etc. totals over $500.

Has anyone a) already gotten married and received legal documents and B) got their blood drawn and felt safe?

Thanks!

I'm getting married at the Now Jade Feb.19 and we have chosen the "Pergola" for the ceremony and the "bamboo room" for the reception. When looking around and doing my research, these two looked very private and I think we will be happy with it. Good luck and happy hunting!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
