Hey girls!

FI and I had our engagement photos this weekend, it was so fun! We brought the doggies with us and had a great time... puts me back into the wedding spirit! :)
I've been so busy with work I just haven't had time to think about the wedding and planning, etc... but we had more fun than we thought we would.

MIL is also having a shower for us in a couple of weeks so that should be fun! A little daunting because it will be all of his family and I don't know them all very well but it's for both of us so he has to be there and a couple of my girls are going to come with so it should be a good time.

Capecodder: Your dress is beautiful! Congrats!!

Us and another couple who will be getting married at the same resort bring photographer who took our engagement pictures. We pay 1300.00 each. Pretty much we pay for her and her hubby's travel and resort for 4 nights.

We're bringing 2 photogs (husband and wife) with us.  They're doing engagement shots, welcome dinner, unlimited wedding day and full day TTD.  We're getting all of the images with printing rights.  We're paying only their travel with our all inclusive group, and because of our numbers got one of their trips for free.  Pretty good deal!

PS, I had two people in my group cancel today due to "work issues".  When your group is only 18 people total, 2 people make a huge difference!  And now I have all this OOT stuff personalized for them, and nothing to do with it!  Of course they're all the way in Europe, so its not like I can just drop if off and at least make use of it!  So frustrating that people are so nonchalant and don't realize all of the detail and planning that goes into a DW!  Not to mention I already paid for an excursion for the two of them that will now go to waste as well!  Now I know where everyone else is coming from with numbers going up and down.  Just didn't expect this 72 days before the wedding! :S

1300 includes travel?  That's really good! Our trip alone is $1500 and then photog fees on top of that! We are looking at over 3000 likely

It is 1300 each, so 2600 between two couples!  she takes all my dress fitting pics, bachelorette pics, wedding, ttd. I got pretty lucky being able to figure that one out, specially with those tight rules for outside vendors at sandals

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
