"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been reading through all of your posts and we are absolutely considering Now Larimar for our wedding. We are very early in the planning process-it will be spring of 2013 before we get married (next year we are already attending a DW and I'm MOH in my best friends wedding) So we will wait until 2013!  I'm sorry you ladies have been going through such a hard time getting responses and good pricing. I hope in the next few weeks you guys get the answers you are looking for :)

It is really early but I figure it's to my benefit to have time to decide DIY projects, colors, extras that I want to do or even things I don't want to do....these fourms have been a great help in the last two weeks. I'm not necessarily even planning at this point I'd consider what I'm doing as gathering ideas and trying to get a vision of how I want our day to look and feel, lol.

Plus I have trouble making decisions sometimes and I think I'll need some time to see if things 'sit right' with me.

baileybutton,Congrats and welcome! That def is a long time to get your planning in process and you will get to see all of us ladies go through it also, and get ideas!

Sarah, I love both of your dresses! I do agree with JB about having a long dress as a back up at least. :) Are you getting them made or buying them from the designer?

I emailed Emy on thursday about a couple of questions about the contract.. Did you ladies have to pick what package you wanted and what extras you wanted or can we just go with the flow and add things??

Also do you know what chairs come with the Eternity package?? I am having a hard time in choosing between the Devine and Eternity package because I am liking the food options in the other catagories?? I wonder if they would let you choose one item from each catagory??

Sarah:Love the dress options! I really like the long one, they are both beautiful though.

Baileybutton:Welcome and congrats! I think you will be happy that you have so much time to plan. I have been at it almost 3 months and have barely gotten price quotes for rooms.  This forum is amazing, helps so much.  So glad you joined us!

Dee Sanders:  When I mailed my request/contract for wedding date I just wrote unsure along the wedding package line.  I really am having a hard time deciding as well.I think that is the beauty of a destination wedding, we can just wing it and it all turns out beautiful in the end. I think the Divine package comes with the white chair covers and the eternity will just be the party chairs-I think JB March posted a pic of them several pages back. I think either option will be nice with sashes.  Read up on the NOW Jade thread-they talk about the menu a bit and how they have been able to change it up.  I think it will be the same for us.What options are you considering for food?  Have you heard back from Emy? I still have not...still waiting on my confirmation letter to book my room block and my photographer.  I emailed her AGAIN today, I know she is busy but my TA needs it!

JB: Have you started to lean one way or the other between NOW and Ocean Blue? I hope you can stick with us!

Hey! I am not sure what I am going to do about the dresses. If I order them online there is a 30% restocking fee.  I know a lady that owns a bridal shop and I am hoping she will order them as sample dresses for me.  I had a friend that she did that for a few years back so I am hoping she will do it for me as well. Especially since they are 1/3 of the price!!  I tried getting a hold of the wedding coordinator today too.  I was trying to see if maybe I can switch my date from a friday to a saturday.  I think if I do a saturday my chances of guests coming may be higher since they will have to take off less work.  I did talk to someone at the hotel and she said that the past few days they have had about 3 weddings a day so the coordinator is super busy.  I need to get my boarding pass template finalized so I can get them sent out.!!  She said that she will hopefully get back to me this week!  It is such a pain getting a hold of them!  This is not the only hotel I have dealt with over the past few months so I know it is a common problem for brides.  The lady that is making my boarding pass template is also making me matching wrap around address labels for my save the dates!  Super cute! I am so excited.  I ordered the plain labels and envelopes and paper today.  I am so excited to get them and so nervous about the color and thickness of them!  I need to get these out asap so I can an idea of how many guests we are going to have coming.  I have no idea how big this wedding is going to be!!  I wish I could take a month off work so I can get all of this done!!  Planning a wedding is becoming a full time job!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
