Thanks Ducker!

Glad to hear your wedding went well.

Can you tell me who did your #5 & #6?  Also, did their spa do you hair and makeup?  I am trying to get a brides feed back on them.

I am only have 35 ppl total so I don't think I would need an additional planner :)

Hi,

Yeah with 35 people, you should be fine with Larisa.

Yes, for #5 we used Ambar Productions through the hotel. They were not cheap, but set up everything for us and it looked so beautiful.

For #6, I'm not sure who Maye Cortinas got the chairs and table coverings and vases from. But her prices beat the prices Larisa quoted us quite significantly. We brought the silk flowers and floating candles with us from the States. We only used Cabo Flowers for our bouquets, corsages, flower girls, etc. We spent a total of around $500 on real flowers.

Larisa had a local lady come to do hair. I can't remember her name. She was a blonde Canadian lady who lived nearby. She did a very good job. I did my own make-up...I'm an amateur make-up artist, :-), so I ended up doing my own as well as my mom and sister.

Also, I highly recommend that you ask Larisa to do the floating lanterns on the beach after the reception. That was amazing and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. All of my family and friends are still talking about it. Everything turned out so much better than I thought..it was such an amazing time.

Good luck and please let me know if you have any more questions.

Well we decided to check out other wedding planners due to larisas lack of communication and the a co-ordinator at another hotel has been very timely in her emails and great to work with thus far, the beach is swimmable and all around it seems like a better choice for us! Good luck with your wedding I am sure it will be absolutely amazing! 8 weeks and we will be in los cabos and 6 days later our wedding at Melia! :)

I got married in the DR in June of 2011. I know how hard it is to try to look your best for your wedding day.I don't know how to post this without it saying or looking like a scam, lol. But I wish I had known about this before my wedding and it really does work. I'm a stay at home wife and this is what I do on the side. If you want to tighten, tone and lose inches for your big day, check out my Ultimate Body applicator wrap and some really other great products that promote healthy living! http://www.skinnyin45.com/

How is everyone planning going I am thinking of having my wedding at Hola next June. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't have package information other then what is one their website. Do you know how much per person if you have more then 30 ppl? Is there a dinner included in the reception? Do they have a hook-up for music or do I have to have a DJ or bring my own speakers? What kind of color or flower options do they offer?

Thank You

Heidi

I am about to hire Maye Cortinas as my WC for a Hacienda location in SJ Del Cabo.

We have about 25 ppl and she is charging $1,150. I've read some negative posts about her from 2008-9 on this forum and skeptical.

I suppose I could add in the contract if I'm not happy with her services I can be refunded...anyone else have experience w her other than Ducker?

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
