The Hard Rock Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

My fiancée and I just got back from our site visit at the Hard Rock on Saturday. First I have to say that the place is amazing and there is something for everyone of all ages! The staff are the friendliest in the Caribbean by far! During our stay we were able to see, from a distance, at least six weddings in our five days there and they were all beautiful regardless of the location. Kelly and I went with so many questions and concerns and walked away at ease and comfortable with the locations for our events and our wedding coordinator. Now all we have to do is to wait for January 2014! One thing that I would suggest is that if you can get to the Hard Rock for a mini vacation before or after you book it for your wedding......do it because it will help you with any of the concerns that you might have. I'm a guy and I usually don't worry much but I expect our wedding day to be the most amazing day of our lives so I was a little nervous. But the visit took care of all that. Sorry I don't have a more thorough review but I will answer questions.

Hi! I am looking at booking my wedding in May 2014 and had some questions that some of the past HHR brides might be able to answer.

* For after the ceremony/dinner, where did you go to have a reception/after party? After looking at the cost of a dancefloor on the beach, DJ/lighting and decor it was adding up quick! Are there any clubs (that the whole family can attend) to take over? LOL

Thanks!

i asked the same exact question and this is the response i got: "The resort does not recommend it, as there are things that can be left behind once taken through customs, or they can be misplaced or lost. They typically suggest your guests to bring everything split up in their luggage." to be safe dont do it. -Eliana

Hi Jayberry,

I'm not sure if you're still using this site but I was wondering how you switched your wedding coordinator from Renee to Lisa? I'm having some difficulties with Renee and would like to switch... Also, would you be able to send any pics of the reception and cocktail locations?

Thanks!

Hello ginamapi!

I was wondering if you still have the templates that you created for your wedding guests available? (i..e luggage tags, save the dates and welcome books?). My fiance and I are in a mad rush trying to put things together because we just changed our entire wedding venue and as a result only have less than 2.5 months to plan everything! Thanks so much!

Hello HRPC Brides!  We are down to our final two resorts, and I am totally overwhelmed with this decision. (One is a more intimate, smaller resort in Mexico and the other is HRPC) Due to budget, we are not able to do a site visit. Would any of you be willing to share pictures of any of the outdoor reception locations?

I am looking for a natural chic feel.  We will have about 50-60 guests. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

My email is [email protected]

I so appreciate any help or advice.

Been reading up on Dreams in punta cana as well seems a bit less pricey for guests but also doesnt look as fun as HRH....Tavel Agent we were referred to doesn't know all that much about it either she was told it was a "concrete jungle" It just seems so our vibe where as all other resorts seem dull in comparison! We are not just limited to DR i was actually trying to stray away from DR due to language barrier and the fact that my fiance's buddy got married in DR a few years ago....but the HRH drew me in.....Do i listen to the reviews or my gut?! help!!

I feel the same way! I know this post is old, but if you still check it I would love to ask you a couple things-

1) Did you end up having it at HRPC?

2) Did you find that you could make the wedding reception elegant, classy, and intimate despite the lively atmosphere at the resort?

3) Being such a large property, did you feel like you saw/spend enough time with your guests?

I'm struggling and it sounds like you did the back and forth thing for awhile like I did. I wish I could do a site visit!

Thank you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
