Cabo Azul Brides!

HI!!! I just got married there in January, and would love to help you with any questions! I ended up hiring an outside wedding co-ordinator so I could bring in all my own vendors, not the resort "preferred" vendors - it worked awesome. I signed a contract with Monarch - before it was Diamond, and I spent DAYS looking over all the costs....I totally understand your sticker shock! I, too, fell in love with the chapel :). We had around 100 guests and had a private party on the front deck of Javiers. How many people are you expecting? Let me know how I can help! This is a crazy exciting but also stressful time!

Hi Katie, Diamond doesn't participate in the wedding planning for this resort from what they told me. They only handle the rooms and don't have any info outside of the wedding and food guides. I don't know why they have him as a contact person on the website when all he does is refer you to the resort anyway. Anyways! Lol do you feel like paying the extra $1k penalty plus the outside coordinator fee save you money in the long run? I've been stalking this place since 2011 and have 3 years worth of price lists so I've seen how much they've inflated a lot of their prices which in some cases is extreme. I'm projecting more like 30 guests. Living on the East coast, I'm not expecting too many people you be able to afford this type of trip but my heart is set on it. I love the chapel, the resort and the workers

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
