Hi, everyone!  So we are seriously considering RIU Negril for the wedding (12/2011) and getting the free package with a few upgrades.

Part of the free package is a semi-private dinner in one of the restaurants, but everyone seems to be having their semi-private dinner at Shadows which would be fine if I didn't have 2 members of the party that have a VERY hard time using the stairs to access the 1st course buffet and dessert portions of the meal.

So can anyone tell me, is it mandatory to have the semi-private dinner in Shadows or do we have a choice within the free package?

For that matter, how accessible is the RIU Negril resort?  It looks mostly flat but pictures can be deceiving.

    Thanks so much!

I'm doing the free wedding at the Riu Negril but wanted and asked to have my dinner at Shadows! so unfortunately i'm not big help in that department.

I'd suggest maybe sending the WC an email?  Her name is Dionne mice.neg@riu.com she usualyl gets back to me within a couple of days when I email her. :)

I'm getting married there in January 2011 and doing the free package. I'm sure if you talk to the wedding coordinator you can arrange to have your dinner on the main floor of Shadows. I think that's the only option of restaurant that you have unless you have a small group (other restaurants don't accomodate a large group). I agree with Lua, contact the coordinator, she's been great with me so far.

        58 people booked...and counting!!!

Hey BRIDES.... need a makeup artist?

There's a makeup artist called LONI JONES in Jamaica. She used to work for NARS... She's really good! She has a Facebook page too. check it out - She's one of the best in the island apparently!
