All the bartenders knew who was part of our group by the cups. They were great in the pool, we could swim and not worry about pool water getting in them.

A little piece of advice people appreciated that we didn't put our names on it, we put a claddagh with friendship, love, loyalty over it, and Dominican Republic under it. Everyone says they are going to use them at work, they would probably never use them again if our names had been on them, since they were a gift to our guests I wanted them to feel that they were bought with them in mind.
I didn't even think about not putting our names on them?? You made a good point though...shoot! back to the drawing board!!!!

I made a logo that just says "Riviera Maya, Mexico June 21, 2008." I thought that would be generic enough for people to reuse them. I plan on using that logo for the bags, but haven't decided for the cups. If they are just plastic tumbler mugs, we might leave the names on. If they are nice bottles I know people will reuse a lot, we'll take off the names.

I've also seen some people on the forum put their names on the logo small. I think a certain amount of personalization is good. Otherwise, you might as well just order stuff already made.

I agree that is why we used the cladagh, it was a theme throughout our wedding, in honour of my dad, and what was more perfect then the words friendship, love, loyalty, it summed up what our wedding was all about.

I think that's great. So far the only theme I have are starfish. So I feel like I need to put the date or place or something on it to make it personal.

We are definitely going with personalized cups and napkins for our wedding. The napkins are very affordable and we figure that we can get about 250 of those as favors and use simple napkins for the dirty work. The cups with our name on them are also generously priced. Both are going to have our names on them as well as our picture and the date of our wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
