JRM I suppose I was never informed that the cocktail hour only included one drink per person?!! How did that work out? Do they charge you per extra drink? Seems a bit unreasonable dont ya think? Was this a signature drink and did you have a say as to what it was?

Does anyone know if you can bring your own music system? or do you have to use theirs? If theirs...anyone have pricing for that? I know the DJ is 488$ but I don't want a DJ...just speakers and a mic!

cocoHolly,
Here is the reply that I received from Marlene about the DJ.
Will you take care of booking the DJ and can we bring a ipod with some of our own music on it for him to play or send him a playlist in advance? We can do both ipod or playlist, up to you.
Basic dj is $4898 .00USD
Full dj with MC included is $ 767.00 USD
So my understanding is that the "Basic DJ" includes the equipment and someone that runs. I am not sure if they would just to the equipment without anyone to run it?
Curls2013,
I am having about 40 guests at our wedding and here is there reply I received from Marlene about a welcome dinner for everyone included.
The rehearsal dinner Friday night before our wedding for all of our guests at one restaurant is no additional charge if it is at one of the restaurants that are included with the all inclusive resort package correct? No additional charge for this.
Good luck planning girls!
Anyone with any extra information on a beach reception or pictures that would not mind sharing would be great!

Hi Curls2013,
Best of luck with your planning. Here are some answers. Hope they help:
1) Did anyone that has already been there get a free room upgrade? Julissa did, she got upgraded to a Panoramic Suite..I didn't since I was already in a Panoramic Suite and there were no rooms available...there were 2 major conventions going on the same week I was there.
2) Is the Cocktail hour worth the money or should just have everyone meet at the same bar? The convenience of the cocktail hour is that it's located next to your ceremony so your guests dont have to travel far....but it's really up to you.
3) Did Barcelona deliver welcome packages to rooms for anyone or how did you deliver them? I handed them out since I believe they charge you for this service
4) Does anyone have an example itinerary? Not at the moment...can post once I'm home.
5) We've got 50 people for the rehearsal dinner. Can any restaurants fit us? Yes, I believe Julissa did hers in the Steakhouse and she had 40 guests
6) Is there an actual rehearsal for a beach wedding or no? You can request to have a rehearsal it just might not be the day before the wedding. We couldn't do it until two days before the wedding because of scheduling conflicts.
Thanks so much in advance for any answers!

Sorry I should've been more specific...one type of drink but unlimited amount your guests can drink. Yes it was a signature drink. We provided the menu to our WC when we had our meeting.
