I also had in my mind what type and style of dress I wanted. But NONE of those dresses looked good on me or were even remotely flattering to my body type. I was ssoo bummed out.

 

However, I was with my Mom and she kept giving me these styles that are NOTHING like what I envisioned wearing. But that is what I got. A gorgeous dress that I NEVER would have tried on or picked out on my own ... but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it ... AND it was REALLY marked down!

I completely relate to wanting to go alone. I planned to go for the first time by myself too. I booked an appointment and took the day off from work to go in peace and try on dresses.

 

Since I'd never tried on a dress, I just wanted to do it in peace and relish the experience, but my sister found out I was going and insisted on joining. She told me it was a bad idea to go alone and said part of the fun was the company.

 

Inevitably, I was glad she was there, but the next week I snuck off to a shop on my own! Tee hee!smile72.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
