Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

I am trying to plan for a wedding at PPC for THIS December,  I just emailed the Romance Team 2 days ago.  Those of you in your planning stages, do you think December is out of the question?? It will only be 8 people including us and the packages that are set on the website are fine with me.  In other words, I do not plan on making changes or adding things.  I like the Chill Out Chic package but does anyone know since I have such a smal group if pricing would be less?

Thank you in advance for responding.  This forum has helped out more than any of the thousands of web pages I have been visiting!!!!

Has anyone planned a wedding with their packages for less than 10 people.  I like some of the bigger packages but will only have 8 ppl traveling with us.  Do you know if they adjust these packages down?  Has anyone brought thier own preacher??

Thanks.  Planning for Dec 2011 wedding at PPC!! :)

Hi Ladies,

Is an aisle runner included in the Chill Out Chic package? I just realized that I have this vision in my head, but I have no idea whether it's included or not. If not, does anyone know how much they charge for one @ PPC? Thanks!

Great forum for information. I've had most of my questions answered here! Im planning a small ceremony there in December. Are most of you planning legal ceremonies? We dont seem to have enough time to plan for one. We just got engaged and are getting married quick! What times are your weddings? The one date I want only has a 3 pm left but I want a sunset reception. Has anyone else planned a small ceremony we only have eight people?

Hi Mandy5676,

We're getting married at PPC on 10/1 @ 5:00 p.m. And we're also having a small ceremony--11 people (including us)! I go back and forth on how I feel about that, but it is what it is :-)

We originally scheduled a legal ceremony; however, they couldn't guarantee turnaround time on the paperwork. I'm Catholic and will be celebrating in a convalidation in early December and the Church needed the paperwork beforehand. So, we are stopping by the courthouse for the legal stuff literally on our way to the airport then having my brother marry us in the DR. I like it this way as it's more personal.

This forum has been super, SUPER helpful for me!! Feel free to throw out any questions as most folks are able to offer an answer.

Thanks,

Katherine ("jkweddingday")

HI Mandy

A small group will be so beautiful and intimate. Did you consider maybe having everyone sit in a circle around you? I saw this in pics once and with a small group it was SOOOO beautiful!!! you could always set up a really pretty decoration and have everyone stand behind it. i found this pic (may not be your style or match your plans but you can make it your own) blessing circle.jpg
you might even be able to play on this in your planning and theme "Circle of love" or something like that. Just some ideas.

I am getting married at 4:00pm. I think the time you are getting married is not bad so dont let it get you down....once your ceremony is done you will have nice day light to take pics on the beach and then your reception can be at sunset and you can take more pics then :) you get the best of both.

Thanks for responding.  I have pretty much confirmed December 18th, 5 pm!!  We wont have time for paperwork processing either so will do it here beforehand and are having his cousin who is a minister perform for us there!

I feel the same way.  Sometimes I feel sad it's only a small group but we really did not leave anyone any time to plan for a trip like this and I dont really want a BIG wedding.  I will miss having some close friends there but our parents will be there and a few others.  I am not sure I would want to handle the disappointed of people not coming for sorry reasons and such!

Are you doing beach ceremony and reception?  I was not sure what they would do with a smaller group.  I would like to do beach ceremony, sort of at sunset, cocktail hour and then reception.  I love the Chill Out Chic package but was wondering if they adjust it down since it is for only 8 ppl and not 24.  Are you doing everything a la carte?

My WC so far is Cemone.  She seems to get back very quickly but her answers are vague sometimes.  I worry about not having hands on my planning!!

Thank you again!

Mandy

I dont know if it is included but I do know it is in the package pictures, which to me means it should be.  I do see the white/ivory runners a la carte are $75 each in the spreadsheet that was sent to me.

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
