It would have been cool if it was the same person! You are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in you and your fiance's life, that are willing to bless you with their services! So you are down there already? We are looking for a steel pan player or duo ourselves, so let me know if your friend has nice packages. Yes I was definitely snowed in when you wrote me last, sorry to just be gettin back to you. It has been crazy up here for me! I hope to get down by May/June (prayerfully)!!!! I am 10 months out so its almost real to me...AHHH!!! LOL! Happy New Year by the way!pinkie.gif

Good I don't feel so bad then - he keeps trying to tell me not to stress about everything but I do! Your list isn't actually that long...I'm going to do a lot of that when I get down there...I'm going to look into my options for renting chairs too....we have a photographer doing a shoot on the beach so I'll let you know how I like him if you want another option and I'll talk to the guy about the steel pan for you...I'm trying to work on my family getting their passports right now

I just had my wedding at the Riu - Paradise Island.....

As far a photographer Mario Nixon was amazing, not only was her super efficient with communication, emails, phone he was prompt and took amazing photos! He really has a great eye for capturing that special day!

Best wishes to you both!

We are also planning on getting married in the Bahamas on June 2, 2011!!!  We have yet to choose the sites.  I really liked the idea of Riu but I am an "off the beaten path" type of girl so hoping for somewhere I have some more control over planning.  I adore Harbour Island but cannot put that financial burden on our family and friends in this economy. I hope to have the ceremony and a week in Nassau or Paradise Island and then boat to Harbour Island for a few days with just the two of us.  I have e-mailed Anna Fox a bahamas wedding planner and she responded immediately.  I will let you know how that goes.  I heard the receptions at Riu are very nice and semi private and unfortuantely the planners dont get in contact with you until like two months before. BUT all reviews have stated the weddings turn out wonderful.  This is only from what I have read and I have not had any experience with the resort at all.  I like the idea of no fuss once we are on the island and all inclusive means we won't be wondering where to eat.  I would look into the day passes at Atlantis since it is right next door for one of your days to go out with your friends or family.  If you haven't checked out www.tripadvisor.com yet there are some good reviews on there.  I would ask to see some sample work on the photographer you will have at Riu.  I have seen some previous work that was...I am sorry to say, awful, but I may just be a snob because my FI is a videographer and photos are by and far one of the most important parts of a wedding to us.  I heard a salon at Atlantis was great for wedding day prep and some restaurants to try out are Luciano's and Montegu gardens.  I hope you have a great time on your site visit. I am sure you will love the Island atmosphere and keep us updated on what you find.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
