SUNSET JAMAICA GRANDE

Recommended Posts

Well after literally months of research we have finally chosen Sunset Jamaica Grande for our February 2011 Destination wedding!

Not our first choice i must say but since we have a tribe full of children travelling with us and our closest family and friends it seemed like one of the best child friendly resorts! We had first chosen the GBP but realized the costs were double for literally EVERYTHING!

and since this is my second wedding we are footing the bill for it all...

If there are any past or present brides that would like to share info and planning please do, as i see 95% of this site is full or ROR and GBP brides :)

Congrats to everyone & happy planning!!

We stayed here about a year and a half ago and had the best time!  Such a great resort!  It should be especially good for you group of kids with the water trampolines and water slides!

We saw quite a few weddings while we were there and they looked amazing!  I would highly recommend the gazebo over the other area.  It was in this grassy part of the resort and somewhat of an awkward location.

In terms of the a la cartes you have to go to the grill and say hi to Kevin! Amazing food, great service, and great photography I might add!  I think we ate there 4 of the 7 nights!

Good luck with the planning!

Finally! I've found some other brides getting married here!

We're booked for January 4, 2012, doing things a little different, as I've had some issues with the WCs. No Dinner but a catamaran reception organized off-site for our guests.

How is eveyone else experience with the WC? I want to finalize the ceremony but they said they can't really customize it....Doesn't quite make sense to me.

We've been working with Melissa Forbes from Island Routes [email protected]

She has been amazing (make sure you tell her I recommended you!).

My FI went on a deep Sea Fishing excursion with them last year and loved it! They offer all kinds of excursions.

The price is excellent! Way better than what the resort offered us! And in my opinion better than a sit down dinner that we could have done in Canada!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
