Punta Cana Photographers?

Recommended Posts

We are getting married 7/25/14 and have hired Katya Nova photography.  Her & her husband seem amazing (she seems amazing from the contact we've had so far).

I have a question for PC brides: for anyone getting married at Jellyfish (or who HAS gotten married at Jellyfish), can you explain open bar packages?  Mayte sent me a price list with $17 "pax per hour" but that seems sort of steep given drinks aren't very pricey.  Open bar for just 4-5 hours would be anywhere from $88-110 per person (for platinum package), and it's not even that expensive here in Boston!  I just want to make sure I understand the price list before opting for open bar.

Thanks ladies!

Hello all,

We used HDC for our wedding on March 10, 2014 at the Jellyfish in Punta Cana.

Without a doubt, we highly recommend them. They are professional, arrived on time and went right to work.

HDC was able to stage some beautiful photographs as they are very familiar with many of the locations and resorts in Punta Cana.

Hope this helps!

If you don't mind me asking, what package did you choose? I'm having a hard time figuring that part out.

Hi MrandMrsBonitto2016,

We chose the Platinum Package as we wanted maximum coverage time. We also liked the idea of having a hyperlink available that people could access after the wedding to check-out our pictures. We did not want any prints as we could print our own later at home at a great quality and a reasonable cost and most importantly have the time to really look at all the pictures & choose what we really like. We also secured a local person at home to do our coffee book -- again we would be able to take our time and really work with our local person to have a coffee book we really want.

We did also book the TRASH THE DRESS session -- lotsa fun and some really unique shots in the water.

We got married on a Monday, scheduled TRASH THE DRESS for the Wednesday (I saved my flowers and used them again) and then met with Arnaud Friday morning to see the digital prints and hand over payment. Worked out really well.

Hope this helps!

We are going with HDC and the platinum package with one extra hour of coverage. (7 hours total) glad to see someone else who was happy with this package!

Good choice!

Do note . . . . if HDC is not on the vendor list for your resort, then you will have to pay a fee to have them step onto the resort if they are taking pictures (not for the follow-up meeting, only of they are taking pix).Unfortunatley, this is standard policy with most of the resorts.

Good luck with your wedding!!!

Irene :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
