Hi ladies! Congrats on all your engagements! Right now, everything is pretty much set. We are getting married and having the reception at Jellyfish, Punta Cana. We are styaing at the Majestic Elegance Elegance Club for the week. Katya Nova photography is also booked along with Pastor Rick. Hoping for about 50 guests but may be closer to 100! It will be all white classic clean wedding decor, not beachy or eccentric. Save the dates are going out by the end of the month and website (nearlyweds - love) is up and running! The only thing that isn't planned is a videographer. Anyone recommend anyone? Also- I've posted this elsewhere but I'm struggling with budgeting openbar at Jellyfish based on their PER person PER hour rates ($22 for platinum, priceyyyyyyyyyyyyyy), anyone have any insight on what they've done? My family is Irish and his Cape Verdean so there will be ALOT of drinking and beer/wine won't cut it. I'm thinking we should set a max ($4k for example) and run a tab. Not sure what would be the best idea, but any brides with insigh to offer would be greatly appreciated! Best of luck to you all - can't wait to discuss more details with you ladies! Xoxo

I would go with 2 photographers! Totally more bang for your buck and I agree with the 'different prospectives' approach. Hey ladies! I agree about cost adding up and also stressing out - although it is MUCH cheaper than getting married at home. Can anyone explain the open bar packages to me? Mayte sent a list with $22 "pax per hour" - doing the math that would cost over $100 per person for a night of open bar... which is more expensive than open bars here at hom! Am I missing something?

We are getting married 7/25/14 and have hired Katya Nova photography. Her & her husband seem amazing (she seems amazing from the contact we've had so far). I have a question for PC brides: for anyone getting married at Jellyfish (or who HAS gotten married at Jellyfish), can you explain open bar packages? Mayte sent me a price list with $17 "pax per hour" but that seems sort of steep given drinks aren't very pricey. Open bar for just 4-5 hours would be anywhere from $88-110 per person (for platinum package), and it's not even that expensive here in Boston! I just want to make sure I understand the price list before opting for open bar. Thanks ladies!
