Hi fellow brides!  I'm getting in married at a nearby resort April 6th, but I'm hoping to find another bride getting married April 4th, 7th, or 8th who still needs a photographer.  I'm planning on bringing Sara Gray but she said that if I can find another wedding for her to shoot while she's in Mexico then she'll give us both a great deal.  PM me if you want more details!  http://www.saragrayphotography.com/ She's been featured on some of my favorite blogs...style me pretty, wedding chicks, grey likes weddings, etc

Hi ladies,

I'm getting married at CPM this July and I'm very excited but also very nervous!  I feel like I don't know what to expect because there hasn't been much communication on CPM's part.  I was so excited to hear everyone's excellent reviews about Karina...and a few months ago I emailed her about something and received an answer back from someone else because Karina left =/.  I'm having about 40 guests and am having the ceremony on the beach and the reception in the Terrace restaurant.  Can any previous brides give me any advice or send me some pictures.

Thanks!!

Hi there,

We just got married on the beach on March 30th.  Monica was our wedding coordinator and she was AMAZING.  We had 24 people and a lot of family with surprises along the way.  Monica was able to satisfy everyone's requests (and they weren't easy)!  From the sounds of it, we were on the bigger side and had more going on then most weddings.  It was FLAWLESS.  I can't say enough great things about the wedding.

We had the ceremony on the beach, where my brother and sister in law played guitar and sang (all of the audio equipment was perfect!).  We had cocktails on the Terrance (delicious!) and private dinner inside in the Tapas.  Of all the restaurants, this was definitely the best one to go to.  The view, the privacy, the space was perfect.  We hired a steel drum band from outside of the resort and they were SPECTACULAR.  They made the party!  Everyone was dancing!  My husband ran back to our room at one point and said he could hear the music from there!!!  We had lobster for dinner - sooo good!  At some points people couldn't decide whether to sit and eat the delicious lobster or to dance to the music!  They performed a coffee ceremony - with fire - for us.  Everyone thought it was beautiful.  Monica also offered us an upgraded cake which had the reviews of "I'm not really a dessert person, but the cake was DELICIOUS!"

We did our speeches and a DVD presentation at the beginning of the dinner.  First dance and father/daughter, mother/son were right after dinner.  It all went off without a hitch.

If you have any questions or want a link to our pictures, just email me: [email protected]

Jill

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
