HELP: Resorts allowing outside photographers

Recommended Posts

Hi girls,

I am in the process of trying to figure out what resort we are going to have our wedding at and I need your help. Pictures are at the top of my list for things I want for my wedding and I know alot of all-inclusive resorts are not allowing outside photographers. So I was wondering if I could get some feedback from future and past brides of where you went and who done your photos. Any information you could pass along would be greatly appreciated....Thanks ladies

Where do you want to get married? Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, etc?

I know that a lot of photographers in these areas have lists of places that allow and don't allow outside photographers. Actually most places don't allow them, it seems. Photography was a big thing for me too so I made sure that the resort we're getting married at allows outside photographers. I let the wedding planner know in our first e-mail and she assured me it was completely okay.

Good luck :)

We're getting married at Moon Palace in Cancun. Although they advertise a "no vendor" policy, many brides bring in professional photographers as "guest." They've paid for a night's stay for the photog. This seemingly works out well because some photogs get photos of events like the rehearsal dinner, wedding preparation, etc.

Thanks again guys for the posts....this site really seems to be awsome. We are 99.9% sure we are getting married in mexico. I love both the Mayan and Cabo so it does really matter where as long as the place is nice, clean, and I can have a photographer come in. Really open minded when it comes to where. Thanks again :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
