Hi,

I am having a hard time finding a wedding reception location.I have a wedding planner helping me but she is so busy and I am not that patient... So I thought I would ask around to see if anybody knows of a good location, on or off the beach in Waikiki . I have approx. 15-30 attending so a hall is too big and some restaurants are too small. If anyone can think of any I would appreciate the help, Thanks!

Hey!

We had our wedding reception at Tiki's Grill and Bar in Waikiki!

They were a pleasure to deal with and can recommend to everyone wanting a resturant wedding reception for a small group! We had 25 guests!

The atmosphere was amazing.

Contact Michael or Tiare they will be able to help you out.

Hi, first your photos are gorgeous!  I am lookiing for a ceremony for our wedding on 11/29/13, and was considering Paradise Cove.  I def want to have the reception at Tiki's and saw your photos.  Are you able to tell me the vendors you used for both ceremony and reception?  Also did you find it most cost effecant to have it a DIY wedding, instead of hiring a wedding co/planner?    I especially love the ceremony set up at Paradise with the flower bamboo's, chairs, arch etc.  Any advice you can give will be helpful :)   Thank you!

Hi there!

I am getting married at Paradise Cove in August 2013 as well. Paradise Cove actually has their own bamboo arch that you can rent. For chiavari chairs, there are two major rental companies I know of. One is called Accel and the other Royal Party Rentals. They also have bamboo arches available. You can even ask them to drape for you. I've decided to go with Accel because they are so nice and were also highly recommended. If you are only having the ceremony there, I hear they are strict with time (2 hours to set up and breakdown). I don't know about Royal specifically but I was told Accel sets up and breaks down very fast. Fortunately, I am having both ceremony and reception at their Ocean Garden area so this will not be an issue, but if you are only having a ceremony there.. I say go with Accel!

Thank you Cherbear327!  I had them on my list to call today.  Then I got your response, so I am thinking, Accel it is!  I am only having the ceremony there, as our party is only 15-23 people.  I think when I inquired about a private reception at Paradise, I had too small of a party that they allowed.  We opted for a reception at Tikis, and YES Paradise Cove wants us in and out in two hrs!  Which I am okay with.  Have you gotten a cake?  And flowers?  I am still working on those two.  Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
