Room Categories at Beaches Turks & Caicos

Recommended Posts

Hey Heather!!! We stayed in the Caribbean Village and we thought it was very nice. We had the honeymoon luxe king room. We were very close to the beach and close to the rest of our party. When booking the girl receommended we choose the caribbean village and at the time the Italian village was the same price. She said most of our guests would be staying in the caribbean village and that it is the center to the entire resort. Close to the beach and our favorite pool was in the caribbean village. It was a perfect location with a very nice room. I will post some pics to this thread later today.

My favorite review on trip advisor is some snotbag "obviously if you stay in the caribbean village you are poor" and Im pretty sure no poor people are traveling to turks and caicos for one and/or are staying at Beaches. We paid $4950 for our room and I dont think that is cheap. And I wouldnt consider myself poor!

The italian village gets a lot of hype because it is new. The pool is gorgeous yes but we did not spend one day there, way too many little children. Caribbean village pools were great fun and we loved that section of the resort. (we loved the whole resort).

All in all you are barely in your room anyways. But ours was spacious with a very large balcony/patio, large king bed with extra pillows, and a pull out couch area. It was perfect for us! Hope this helps!

All of our guests stayed in the turquoise deluxe rooms and really liked them! My MOH room was on the main level and had vaulted ceilings! It was wayy nice.

Two groups got upgraded to The french village. They liked it because they were larger groups, so it fit them better and they had a mini bar. They didnt like being super far away and the french village is very far from the beach. And they do not have balconies more like balconets.. some people are not happy about that.

So we finally booked our room and we went with the French Village Luxury Walkout King - yay!! I tried attaching a pic from the Beaches web site, so we'll see if that works. The pic is labeled as the Honeymoom French Village Luxury room but our TA said that those rooms have the balconettes like you mentioned Tucks, and that we needed to book the walkout if we wanted the full patio where we can actually sit outside. If it looks close to the pic, I think I'll be happy!! :)

Hey Heather! Thats what our friends stayed in. You should know that it is on the bottom floor for the full walkout "balcony" or more like a full walk out "patio". Im almost positive the balconets are only on floors 2 & 3 and then the full walk out is on the main level. Just a heads up!

Im going to be dead honest.. I think you would prefer the balconets more.. IMO. The "patio" was not anything special and there were a lot of bugs because the grass is right there.

If you want a full balcony with a view..go for caribbean or italian village.

Just giving my 2 cents. To help you out! Sorry!

That's a really good point...I didn't really think about the bugs. And I get bad reactions to bug bites so I don't want my legs all chewed up before the wedding! Maybe I'll look at the room categories again, lol. There are just many freakin choices!! Thanks for the input :)

Just wanted to share some info that I received from my TA when I asked her about what room category to book. We originally had booked the French Village Luxury Walkout King room. We wanted a full balcony or patio and figured since the French Village is newer than the Caribbean Village, that it would be nicer. But after lots of debating I went back to our TA and asked her if she would recommend keeping the room we originally booked or what she thought about the French Village Luxury room or the Honeymoon Grande Luxe King. She said that while the French Village is newer than the Caribbean, that the Caribbean has been updated more recently, where as the French Village is just about due for some updates. I thought this was a good point and wasn't something I would have thought of. I was just thinking newer equals nicer. The Caribbean is also more centrally located, and closer to the beach. She said if given the choice she would take the Honeymoon Grande Luxe, which was also recommended to me by Meagan as well so we decided to go for it. The Honeymoon Grande Luxe is on the third floor so we should have a least some view of the resort, and it also has a full balcony not just a balconette like some of the french village rooms. I hope this may help other brides that are debating between room categories since there are SO many to choose from.

Very well put Heather!

also my parents stayed in the turquoise deluxe room. which is on the 2nd and 1st floors of the caribbean village and their room was smaller than ours but still very nice and had a very decent size balcony. Our balcony was double the size of theirs. but both were great!!! We really liked our room! especially bc our favorite pool was steps from our door and steps from the beach! it really is centrally located!

We loved the resort!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
