So ladies I know you are all creative with the beach theme stuff...but I am getting married at a ski resort...think Aspen! But smaller! It's in Idaho and I have officially decided I am the only snow bride on here!! I already have my invitations ordered and the programs in the DIY stage but I'm trying to think of creative things for the welcome bags. What have you all done that could be tweaked to fit winter?

Hmmm, lets see. Some things that come to mind that are relatively inexpensive are
gloves/mittens
chapstick
hot chocolate packets
hand warmers
snowflake keychain
fuzzy socks
snow globes

and then off course you can add the regular stuff like crossword books, hand sanitzers, candles, etc.

Hope this helps a bit

Hi fellow Winter Bride,

Im also doing a winter wedding at a ski resort in Vermont. For my OOT bag I was doing the things you listed above but I was going to add a nip of like Baileys or Peppermint Snaps and tie a nice label on it saying for them to add it to their coffee or hot choc.

Im trying to do a black/silver with accents of snowflakes here in there

Also as guests book I was going to sent them a weekend wedding brochure (made from vista print) with outlines for the weekend. (ie...Fri night welcome dinner for all guests, Sat ceremony time and reception, area attractions, things to do at the ski resort...things like that)

Im dying to hear all your ideas as there arent maybe winter brides on here.

I attended a winter wedding once where the bride put a hot chocolate powder mix in a small mason jar container (one of the mini ones) and put a label on top saying what it was and tied a ribbon around it. It was so cute!

Handwarmers or an inexpensive pair of gloves is also a great idea!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
