great thread! Fi and I have 2 young daughters-ages 2 and 4. We decided to buy them little wedding rings as well, and present them duringt the ceremony, so the 4 of us are getting married to each other. Since mya is only 2, we are putting her ring on a necklace for her. We are not doing the sand ceremony, so I thought this was a nice alternative. the rings are something that can grow with the girls, and they can wear their rings just like mommy and daddy.

I'll keep the bracelets for them while they're young and add charms for other special occasions, too.

Big question: I have one son who's five. Any ideas on what I could give him that would be special and keepsake worthy like the girls' charm bracelets? I just don't see him wearing jewelry and I can't think of anything special for him...
So glad to see this thread. I, too have a son, he is going to be 8 when we get married and I'm wondering what to give him since my FI has 3 daughters and girls are easy with jewelry.

I'm having all 3 girls as junior bridesmaids, my son is going to walk me down the aisle (since this is my second wedding) and they will stand up there with us and do a sand ceremony. We are going to incorporate them into the vows as well. Our family will be the only wedding party.

I have a son 18, a daughter 14 and he has two son 14 and 12. We have decided that this would be an adults only event, as most of our daily life is spent taking care of them and driving them to sports 7 days a week. I thought we were being selfish but my 18 year old said that this is our time and we should be able to focus on us for a change. I was very greatful for his words of comfort. We will be doing the sand ceremony with the children when we return.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
