Tensing Pen Brides?

Recommended Posts

I'm also a huge fan of Tensing Pen. It's very intimate, and there's such a wide range of accommodations at that property that there's "something for everyone"... Tensing Pen is also home to that famous "bridge" shot (see below) - although I'm not sure if any of you brides would be brave enough to walk that plank in your wedding dress??? Would make for some incredible photos though...thoughts? wink.gif

Hi there,

I am planning to get married at Tensing Pen Nov 2012 and like the bride who started this thread I am looking to find anyone who has been married or plans to be married there. I would love any tips and advice regarding the ceremony and reception planning. So far it seems very expensive, which makes me a little nervous, I just want the wedding to be worth the money we spend.

Can anyone here offer me some advice?

Thank you

Hi Mz Tree. We are planning our wedding for November 2012 also. I called today but Shanique the wedding planner was not in. I will have to call back tomorrow. After reading this thread I don't know if we will be using them after all. The added costs are scaring me. I have sent an email to Catch a Falling Star to see if we can get a better price there. Let me konw if you're still out there!

Hey All! I'm getting married at TP on Oct 27th 2012!  It has been a little nerve racking making desicions.  Has anyone else had their reception in the seasong hut?  They arn't letting us have it in the lodge since we only have 25 people coming.  We are also using steel drummer Pslamy Murray for ceremony and cocktail hour and we are having a Mento band called Dr Wood and the Woodies for the reception.  Did anybody use or hear anything about either? I still havnt decided where to have rehearsal dinner.  TP is offering a buffet of $25 per person for the RD and thats not including drinks and I didnt really like the food options for the buffet. The $10 per person set up fee that everyone is talking about....what exactly is that for.  She hasn't mentioned anything about that yet.  Did anyone go with the TP chairs?  In pics they look like plastic bucket chairs?  Did anyone ise Roan Photgraphy?  She just added this to my list of vendors and his prices seem to be much less than sungold.  ANy advice would be greatly appreciated!  Soooo excited!  Also, where do they do hair and makeup since they dont have a salon/spa.  Were you happy who they booked for you?  Thanks in advance! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
