I am just wondering if any September brides are concerned about the weather, and what your back up plan is. Our wedding is 9/5/10 and I was thinking about having fire dancers and stuff like that, but I doubt we can do that indoors if the weather is a problem

Hi. All I can say is that I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I grew up in florida and the truth is, you never know with the weather. One thing is that even if there is an early afternoon shower, it will most likely be clear an hour later. If it's a hurricane, you'll know well in advance and I'm sure you'll have enough time to cancel without penalty.
Congrats and good luck!

Sept does worry me a bit. We are getting married in the outside gazebo on the 17th. They can move us indoors to a lovely area if the weather comes into play. We are getting married at 1pm so I hope we have good weather. I looked at historical weather data and it seems not so bad. Most likely a quick shower that dries up as quick as it came in. I just wish if it does happen it happens that way so we can get some lovely outdoor pics!

Shhhh!!!! Don't mention the H word...hahaha
I'm getting married on September 18th on the beach and I'm just going to roll with it - my resort has a really nice indoor location if we need it...but fiance and I refuse to mention the h word

I am not concerned about it at all...I dont want to stress myself out over something that I/we have absolutely no control over. We are having our ceremony on a gazebo over looking the beach (although I was informed by our WC that even if it is raining we can still safely/dryly get married there as water will not seep thru the wood panels.) and having our reception on a terrace, if something does occur naturally we will just move things indoors. It would be a shame if it were to rain or worse because we have booked fire dancers, a polynesian dancer and cold fireworks. So fingers crossed weather is good!!

Hello , yes you can not do fire show ( fire dancers) inside! It is forbidden and anyway the smell of gasoline will be too much.... for example I have a group that are fire dancers but also amazing drummers..so this will be a great option...so in case it will be raining you still can enjoy the drums show..also...I have people who dance with instead of fire balls , with fluorescent ball...which is pretty cool as well!!!

its always a 50/50 chance! i wouldnt worry about it too much...that was the original time i chose myself, but had to change due to so many of my family "kids" going back to universities that week.....
my family always takes our vacations the last week of august and never had weather issues in the cancun area....not sure if that helps ease your worries at all!
