Mocha, I'm SO JEALOUS of your pink crinoline!!!! So pretty!

January is going to be a busy month... I go for my first dress fitting on the 15th (time to get rid of this holiday weight, ughhh)

"The Wonderful Wedding Show" to go to Jan.22

Go to update our registries sometime soon.

Plus we need to get the groomsmen their pants... all the guys (including FI) still need ties (why is it so hard to find turquoise ties???).

I NEED my shoes before my dress fitting (again, turquoise shoes... can't find anything I like).

I still don't have my wedding ring... FI has his at least.

Get the invites going. I'm still waiting on a call from my printers as we're doing a few test runs on different stock.

... and the list continues.

On top of it all we want to start looking for a house sometime this month. Horay! :)

Teira, I was wondering the same thing!!!  I know Im not going to be able to get in the dress by myself so I was wondering if I should let him lace it up, but should he see it or not, I mean he did pay for it so hes probably going to want to see it! He saw it online just not on me, I dont know what to do yet either! I guess I'll decide tonight and see what he thinks too.  I wouldnt say its bad luck or anything like that, I just want it to be more of a suprise than anything.

I have tried it on. I'm really happy with it, but haven't taken pictures. I will try to remember tonight.

Brandy- cant wait to see pictures of your dress! my 3 TTDs should be here today too! I'm so excited hopefully one of them will work out for me.

I know I dont want FI to see my actual wedding dress before the wedding but is it bad luck if he sees my TTD before hand?!

Thanks so much. I tried on my reception dress for my FI and I think he wanted it to be a surprise, but was happy to see it. I appreciate his opinion and advice. After all, he will be watching me wear it all night.

I fell in love with the look the first time I saw a fuchsia crinoline. And don't worry, we all have long lists, that seem to get longer each day.

I think you should be able to find someone at the resort to do up your dress, even if it is your WC or someone at the salon. He might not want to leave your room once he sees you in your dress.

I agree, I think it would be fine for him to see you in the dress your using for TTD.  If it was me, I would let him see it.

Tris, have you checked Men's Warehouse?  We were there a few weeks ago and I know they had some turquoise ties...  JC Penney's has a bunch of options too....or even Kohl's...

I need to make an appointment for my first dress fitting... I don't really want to do that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
